  • Wonderful greeting by staff on arrival and throughout entire stay.
  • Broken toilet, air conditioning too cold.

  • Awesome location, convenient to everything.
  • At times, front desk staff wasn't helpful.

“The property was beautiful, the room was nice and the location was ideal! There was a nice scent in the lobby so when we returned back from a full day of touring; it was nice to walk into a sweet smelling hotel.”

  • The location is perfect for tourists. It is located in Circular Quay. You are less than a 5 minute walking distance from the Bridge and Opera House.
  • The internet service cost was too high. Every 24 hours they would charge 19.99 to the room. I stayed there 8 nights.

“The hotel overall is awesome. Im planning on going back in December. I will stay again. My favorite hotel in Sydney. Staff is always very friendly.”

  • Modern, clean, friendly, helpful staff.
  • None that I can think of.

“Very clean, comfortable hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel offered waiting room for early guests awaiting rooms. Concierge very helpful in recovering lost luggage from flight to Australia. Would highly recommended.”

  • Very convenient to our cruise ship.
  • Only possibility to check into our room before 3 PM was to pay for an upgrade.

“The Marriott Sydney Harbor was an excellent choice for our post-cruise holiday in Sydney. The hotel is very convenient to the pier and to public transportation. Our room was comfortable and clean.”

  • It had the infrastructure I needed - gym, spa, internet and great location.
  • A little busy.

“This hotel sits in a perfect location in Sydney. It's near the Harbor, Circular Quay, the Opera House and a Starbucks. It has a great gym and spa, the room was great, the people were helpful, and it was quiet. For the money, it was incredible value.”

“They did not include the nice nick nacks to expect at a 5 star hotel. My shower door was broken which I reported immediately and was never fixed. I found at night I had difficulty breathing due to lack of ventilation.”

  • We were asked to leave the concierge because children and booze don't mix.

“We loved our stay at this Marriott. It did a great job of keeping the Marriott standard high. There is one issue we had while there that those of you with families might want to know about. The concierge lounge does not allow children in the evening. We had one very well-behaved 6-year-old and were enjoying dinner there one night when we were asked to leave. The reason was because they serve alcohol there in the evening and the law understandably does not allow children to be in the same room as the liquor. Rather than give those who would like to drink free vouchers to use downstairs at the bar, this Marriott puts business travelers ahead of families. We felt sorry for the management who were placed in this awkward circumstance and gave us a very nice, free meal in our room. They might have let it go were it not for another guest who didn't want to see children in the lounge. It's sad. My husband's a platinum member, but even this did not save us from being removed. We've traveled all over the world and stayed in a multitude of Marriotts, but this was a first for us.”

  • The location was great and the staff very helpful.
  • There was mold on the tile in the bathroom. We actually changed rooms and continued to have black mold on the tiles in the bathroom. I have pictures.

“The Marriott is in a great location and we would stay there again if in Sydney. The only reservation is the black mold which was in 2 of the rooms we stayed in. It was in the tub and really created a dirty environment feeling.”

“The location is absolutely perfect, you could walk anywhere and were convenient to all of the tourist and business sites in Sydney. Staff was friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean, view was nice.”

  • Fantastic location near main harbor, transportation, shopping.
  • 3pm check in is too late for those arriving early am in SYD.

“This hotel offers some rooms with magnificent Harbor views. It is centrally located in the main business/shopping district, yet the room was quiet. The hotel offers a hospitality room with tea/coffee, fruit, water, internet access, and shower facilities, usable till your room is ready.”

“Excellent location for anyone without a car rental. Staffs at reception were friendly and allowed us to check-in early by upgrading our room. The upgraded room was on the 28th floor overlooking the harbor; well worth the upgrade price. We would definitely choose to stay here again.”

  • The view of the harbor bridge and the concierge service were exceptional!

“This was a great value! I wished I would have spent more nights here. It is ideally located to the opera house and the bridge climb! All rooms have a view of either the opera house or the bridge. It is centrally located to all the main attractions and the circular quay city rail station which offers an easy commute to both the domestic and international air terminals.”

  • Location, 5 min walk to the opera many restaurants nearby.
  • Pool is under renovation-hence closed.

“A beautiful hotel in a great location. The hotel staff is very accommodating and eager to please. The room was beautiful; especially the corner rooms seem to have a great charm and are bigger. Attention is given to maintaining a modern, clean and cozy environment. Unfortunately the pool was closed, so the hotel could not show all its best amenities. Overall, the stay was very satisfactory and I would stay there again.”
