• Nice pubs and restaurants nearby.
• The rooms are very small. The area around the hotel is very nice. I saw several homeless people.

“Rooms are very small but clean. The full English breakfast was very good. Parking was convenient. Nice pubs nearby. The price was very reasonable. No Internet connection in the rooms! I was told they had wireless Internet in the bar - but it didn't work. ”

• The accomodation was clean and comfortable with pleny of space for clothes.

“Both the accomdation and food are of a high standard and the staff are both courtious and efficient. The restaurant is comfortable and pleasantly decorated and the staff are efficiently attentive without being irratating; by noticing if you need something without constatly asking if everything is alright.”

• Good location, pleasant staff and comfortable accommodation

“The Thistle is well located for Swindon town centre (a couple of minutes walk). The reception staff were very helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
I stayed on a Friday, and got a great rate for the night.
Make sure you park in the multi-storey right next to the hotel, as they have preferential rates for parking.”

• it was central to all of the shopping amenities which were required for our stay.
• There could have been more public rest/seating areas within the hotel lobby area.

“1) It would have been nice to have somewhere with a larger non smoking area to sit with a tray of tea/coffee, the Havana Bar didn't have a large enough area to offer this facility and the restaurant only opened at certain times of the day/evening.
2) It would be nice to have seen some local information leaflets/maps to hand. The desk was often too busy to get the information when required.”

• excellent town centre location, clean room and facilities. Does feel inside like the 1960's concrete block it looks like on the outside.
• On check-out was attempted to be charged breakfast and park which i had not used.

“Excellent value. Well worth the town centre location. Having worked in Swindon I have heard the restaurant is not up to much but there are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance. Try Dolce Vita for truly fantastic food.

Rooms are comfortable, clean and safe and the noon checkout time is a god send after a long week away.”
