“Pleasant situation and grounds. Good restaurant. Obliging staff.
But the reception area and adjoining bar area is disappointing and create a bad first impression. Attention to detail lacking in these public areas (ashtrays not emptied during the day), peeling wallpaper, grubby furniture (in contrast to the restaurant which is pleasant).”

• Very Comefy bed
• Family room above our own which disturbed us alot

“Would have liked to see specials on menu as very little choice.
Drinks were a little on the pricey side.”

• The Bar Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was nice and quiet.
• There were not enough comfortable places to sit in the lounge

“I was only stopping for one night, so was just looking for a place to lay my head really. I enjoyed the stay, but I would have liked more space to relax in the Bar as there was nowhere else to sit outside the room other than the restaurant. The girl behind the bar was ver pleasant and polite. I will stay again.”

• The room was spacious and clean, bar and dining room staff were helpful and pleasant.

“Our stay was pleasant, the food was good, staff were helpful until the last night when the disco kept us up until 12:30a.m.”

• Clean, orderly and well looked after - clearly great attention to physical details.

“Excellent in all respects but one which was a serious problem. The hotel, like many do, had a wedding party staying overnight. My room was directly above the bar and there was substantial noise up to just past 1 a.m. I had driven 7 hours to get to the hotel and had a further 4 to go the following day - all I really wanted was a good night's sleep. I feel the hotel should have advised me of this, as had I known the location of the room I would not have agreed to take it. I would certainly stay there again but ask the question about location of the room.”

• Location of roo, next to xmas disco, very loud until 1am

“If I had know there was an xmas party and the room booked what next to disco, then I would have chosen another hotel as I didn't get to sleep until after 1am.”

• Individual accommodations, with small number of rooms - made it very homely and personal. Our block in particular was like new - immaculate

“The receptionist was excellent - taking care in booking us in to a quiet room away from the two wedding parties so that we had peace an quiet. She was always attentive and made us most welcome. The food was excellent”
