“We did not like this hotel at all. There were no modern conveniences such as an iron, a coffeemaker, an air conditioner. No AC or coffee maker in room. Not only was there no coffee maker, but the hotel didn't even have coffee available until after 7 a.m.”

“The hotel is a clean professional hotel. It is close to Vatican city it is not close to anything else. The price of the room was affordable but be aware if you want internet the charge 1 euro a minute. Bring your own computer and you only have to pay 24 euros per day for internet service. The complementary breakfast was nice. In the end it cost you double between traveling back and forth and internet.”

“The staffs were very kind and flexible. The rate is good. Its located just around Vatican; you can wake up with the sound of Vatican bell. It is also located near the subway line A. You can use subway to look around famous locations of Rome. It will take just 10 minutes to Piazza Spagna or Termini by subway.”

“We did not have high expectations so it was ok. Very good breakfast in the morning that was included. Nothing fancy, just plain, small room with two single beds.”

“I would not recommend this hotel to folks seeking a romantic stay. Do not expect a/c. With windows open the area is quite noisy and hard to enjoy sleep. The beds are very hard and quite uncomfortable. The sheets / blankets supplied were quite gross as were the towels (smelled like glue). No toiletries supplied.”

“The staff were not very eager to help with anything. The mattress was old, sunken, and very uncomfortable. No alarm clock. The TV was tiny.”

“If you like self rated second-rate wannabe 4 star hotels you found one at the Nova Domes. The twin beds pushed together fit perfectly with the multiple overlapping tiny blankets and hard as rock mattresses.”

“This was certainly not a 4 star hotel. There was no concierge and the front desk staff was not helpful. The rooms were dingy, with dirty, scuffed paint, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, and very dusty drapes. There was no turn down service, gym, or internet capabilities in the rooms. The following night, we stayed in Brussels for half the price at a REAL 4 star hotel, the Raddison SAS. I would highly recommend the Raddison in Brussels as a 4 star hotel in a convenient location.”

“Holtel has an excellent location. You can walk to St.Peters, Vatican mueseum and Metro. Included in the price is breakfast which is a nice buffet with hot food. Our rooms were tiny and could hear my neighbours. Overall will rate it 7 out of 10 on the competitive price this Hotel offers.”

“This hotel is not 4 stars-not by a stretch. The hallways are dirty-carpet is severely stained and worn. The walls are peeled and scratched. The doors to the rooms are cracked. The area around the locks has been worn away from people trying to pry the doors open. The bath tub in our room has mildew. When I complained to the GM who was at the desk, he responded that I did not have to stay there, I responded that unfortunately he already had my money or I would definitely leave. He even had the nerve to tell me there was no mildew in the tub even when I had picks. What nerve. He could not care less. The hotel is joke. Don't stay here for even one night.”

“While I had a suite, other hotel patrons I spoke with on the elevator seemed very irritated about the small size of their double rooms. Go for the suite if you stay here, it was exceptionally large. About a 10-15 minute walk north of the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica, bring comfortable shoes.”

“The Hotel is pretty well located within blocks of the metro and the Vatican if you enjoy walking. It is also in a neighborhood with plenty of cafes and restaurants. The room was nice, no complaints. The staff did nothing to go out of their way to make us comfortable. They called our room in the middle of the night requesting passport information. This is probably a case of one clerk losing track of time, however no one ever apologized. It was a startling event. Also, on our last day we asked them to call a taxi for the airport for us. They said it was cheaper if we prepaid them for it and they gave us a voucher. But when we arrived at the airport the taxi's running meter showed a total of 8.00 euros less than they charged us. So, it's probably better to pay the taxi directly than going through the hotel. Over all, the hotel was pretty nice.”

“The hotel is very nice and historic feeling, however, a cab is required from here each time you go somewhere. The staff is lovely and professional. Overall, the experience was great.”
