  • The rooms were clean.
  • Everything else.

“I thought this place was horrible. The rooms were clean. That's about the best thing I can say about this place. It's a worn out old place that should have closed its doors along time ago. The staff didn't understand English enough to be helpful. The food was the worst I have ever had. The "fine dining" was a joke. Nothing was what I was told it would be. The activities were for kids not grown ups at all. Over all I do not recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a good time. If I could have gotten a flight out I would have left.”

  • Beach, staff, food, location, rooms.
  • Nightlife (defense on what you are use to), lots of old people.

“I've had been to paradise beach resort from the 17th of Feb. till 1ste of march 2007. Checking reviews before I got worried where I would end up. I must say I went with a friend as two 24 year olds just relaxing from our busy jobs. That was it! All we expected was to relax and completely be gone for a short while. That is exactly what we got! The Dominican republic is a poor country so leave your western expectations at home and you will be surprised! The food is good (it is not five star but nobody promised you that!), best beach of all resorts (big and clean), nice location (near shopping center and bars), great facilities (shop, bank and fast internet is available for $5 per hour), all inclusive means all inclusive (towel service, beer, cocktails, snack, beach, pool, tennis, sunset and disco) and friendly people! The staff is great they work there ass off to make sure you have a good time! The complex and the rooms are not very fancy furnished but the beds are great and it is clean (housekeeping everyday). TV with cable, air conditioning and a bathtub are standard in every room. Playa dorado is a bit isolated from the rest of the country, taxi will rip you off and renting a car is not recommended. ”

  • The events staff was fun, out going, and motivational.
  • The entire resort was a waste of money.

“Paradise is false advertisement. This was far from paradise. First and foremost they lost our reservations and couldn't accommodate us to adjoining rooms. They finally got us a room with two twin beds for 3 adults. After making a big stink about the room situation they moved us to a larger room, which was nice and spacious. The plumbing fixtures did not work properly. Water temperature inadequate. Front desk staff not cooperative towards resolving the issues. As for events and the events staff, they are very friendly and nice. But they don't have many things going on. Night life is a bore (you have to leave the resort to actually have a good time). The shows are as expected by an adult. The food was terrible. We all got sick. We survived on a main diet of mashed potatoes and bread. They do have two restaurants in the resort, but were booked. We had to fight to get a reservation and when we did, we were very upset to find that the food served in the restaurant was the same food served at the buffet. Staff at the restaurants were rude. There are other resorts in the area that looked much nicer. I would suggest trying one of them. This one wasn't worth it's low cost. Overall it was not a good experience.”

  • THE PEOPLE, THE ENTERTAINMENT AND THE ACTIVITIES WERE FUN AND ENERGETIC
  • I WOULD HAVE LIKED THE POOL TO BE OPEN A LITTLE LATER THAN 7PM

“I ENJOYED THE LOOK OF THE ROOMS, MY ROOM WAS VERY SPACIOUS, EVEN THOUGH ONE OF MY ROOMS AIR CONDITIONING THE HOTEL WAS VERY PROMPT IN GETTING US A SUITE FOR THE MISHAP. THE POOL AREA WAS MY FAVORITE, FROM THE SWIM UP BAR AND JACUZZI IT WAS PARADISE. ALSO ANOTHER RECOMMENDATION IS TO TRY THIS DRINK, WHITE BRUGAL WITH LEMON JUICE, WE CALLED IT THE DRNY, BEING THAT I AM FROM NY , HAVE A GOOD TRIP AND TELL THEM TONY FROM NY SENT YA”
