“The Aruba Grand is somewhat isolated and has only one restaurant. It is not of the quality expected. In fact, in the end it was a loss for me as I moved to the Renaissance Aruba due to Hurricane Ivan and paid for two hotels on two of the four nights I was in Aruba. Very disappointing hotel!”

“We were only there one day so that it is difficult to make a fair assessment of the hotel. The rooms were clean and more than adequate. Staff was polite. Pool restaurant was satisfactory. Pool and grounds were excellent. Casino was small, few tables and many slots.”

“Although rated as a 4 star hotel, I do not feel if met those standards. Staffing levels at check in and guest services were minimal. Only one restaurant in the hotel. Lobby was under renovation which made getting to and from the pool area a problem, as you had to walk through the outdoor dining patio. For the price I got the room at, I am very satisfied ($82/night). Had I paid anymore for the room, I would be upset. The room was very clean but a little run-down.”

“The front desk told us the room would be ready at 2pm. We came at 4 pm and there was someone else still in the room. They switched us to a smoking room, despite our explicit requests for non-smoking rooms.

We paid for two rooms. One was updated. The other had old, worn furniture, and an antique TV.

Gym closes at 4pm so we couldn't use it at all. The pool is great.”
