“When my travel agent booked me into a hotel called The Lalit in New Delhi I was skeptical because the name was new to me. But when I finally stood at the reception of the hotel I realized that this was a seasoned hotel from a top class chain with just a new name. Seasoned because the staff was professional, quick in their work and knew exactly what to do. The hotel itself was very good looking with excellent rooms and facilities, excellent food outlets. It was pretty far from the airport but on the other hand it was in city center which was a good thing if you plan to move around town. Another excellent thing was that the hotel had a great spa called Rejuve. Very grand and elaborate. Nice luxury hotel and I will certainly stay here longer next time.”

“Hey get your facts right. This hotel is now called The Lalit and not Intercontinental grand. And this is easily the best luxury hotel I have ever stayed in since I left India to settle down in Australia ten years ago. It has ample space, large rooms, great food outlets, and a very nice service. But their best attraction is the Rejuve the spa which is really something, very refreshing and aromatic. Their coffee shop 24/7 has such amazing buffets. Plus it is in the center of the city so going anywhere is much easier. We had a great time at the hotel and will stay here again whenever we are in India next.”

“My husband's business trips take him across the world and this time it took him to two Indian cities of Mumbai and Delhi, I decided I would go along to see the place. In Delhi we checked into The Lalit a really fancy hotel in city center. Since my husband's business commitments had him away I had plenty of time on my own to check out the city. Here's why I must say how impressed I was with the staff of The Lalit. They went out of their way to not just tell me where I could go but even the standard cautions that a first-time visitor needs to know. The travel desk took pains to tell me what all was worth seeing and other staff gave some great tips on where to do shopping. They also arranged a good driver for me, who really knew the city and took me to places that were amazing. And each time when I returned, someone would inquire if I had had a nice trip around town. Really nice. The hotel itself was beautiful with so much spaciousness and trendy amenities not to mention a great Spa. After our Delhi trip was over, I told my husband that for the Mumbai part, we must stay in the group's Mumbai hotel (Intercontinental The Lalit in Mumbai). I guessed the exemplary hospitality must be a present everywhere in this group more about that later. This hotel- The Lalit, made my first visit to India really memorable.”

“I checked into a hotel called The Lalit center of city and rather good too. (I believe it was earlier called Intercontinental The Grand). In fact comfort factor was given priority at the hotel. Business end of the trip wrapped up, I just happened to glance through the brochures in my room and found that the hotel had a spa which offered traditional therapies of holistic healing. Now that, I had to check out. And let me tell you after a two hour session at the hotel's spa the Rejuvenate, was like breathing new life into a person. They did what was called aroma and color therapy and some other therapies that I don't remember. But I do remember feeling so light and refreshed that I just had to go there once before leaving town. It was an amazing experience. Let me advise one and all---check into the Lalit in Delhi and don't forget to head for Rejuvenate for an experience of a lifetime.”

“Just to correct you guys, the hotel is now called The Lalit New Delhi. Okay now to describe my time there. The first word that comes into your mind when you swing into the glass doors is wow. What a lobby! The Lalit New Delhi in its earlier avatar Intercontinental the Grand had a somewhat darkish lobby. But now the lobby is amazing. That waterfall gently falling by the side and those antique bronze statues, really gave it a fancy look. I was prepared to accept that this was all the fancy stuff I would get. But I was wrong. The rooms were even better. Large, roomy, with a glass walled bathroom and a massive plasma TV. I had a great time staying at The Lalit New Delhi for four days. Good food specially The Baluchi food, very interesting bar (thank god it was big and spacious). Oh and by the way dont miss Rejuve, their spa which is really something. Good work hotel staff too. Thanks for making it a good experience for me and my wife.”

“I had not been to New Delhi for nearly three years now but since during my last stay I had opted for Intercontinental the Grand in Connaught place, I decided to check out the hotel again. To my utter surprise the hotel was flying a new name of The Lalit but it was still the same hotel and I even recognized the tall guard at the main gate. And I must say that with the name change there were other pleasant surprises. For one the absolutely awesome lobby of the hotel. The entire ground floor area was completely renovated to look quite breathtaking. But I remembered that large painting from last time too. I just could not resist asking the staff about the changes. The smiling girl told me about the brand change to the name new name The Lalit and the renovation. I just couldn't resist walking around the lobby to the entrance of that huge coffee shop called 24/7. Must be the largest I had ever seen in all my travels around the world. Quite clearly with the new name The Lalit (which I was told was the name of the late chairman of the hotel) the hotel had decided to raise the bar of its standards by several notches. It looked fabulous. And it was very pleasant to realize that with all the fabulous changes, the hospitality of the staff was just like old times. Great place to stay.”
