“The hot water was mot available through the tap on the morning of our departure and the excuse given was that we were at the end of the line”

“When i locked myself out of my room i asked for a replacement key. The lady on reception said to ask the maid as she was on my floor. I did this and she let me in my room. While this is good and hassle free, i could have been a thief and stolen someone elses belongings. The locks on the rooms need improving.

“The hotel is convenient for the city centre and the food was also of a good standard. The rooms need renovation although the facilities were adequate. As a business traveller, a trouser press would be useful. At '49 it was good value.”

“The hotel has a homey character - not sterile like one's experience at a big hotel chain. It was quiet, warm and all facilities worked. Other internet reviews said that the hotel was out of date and some facilities did not work. However, I prefer the home-like atmostphere and gladly sacrifice the latest style for the feeling of a home away from home.

“For a 2 star hotel it was very disappointing. The hotel is shabby, the breakfast had no fresh fruit it was all tinned and the coffee was quite the worst I have ever tasted. The instant was not much better either. The waitress was not informative of what was on offer for breakfast. All together not a hotel to stay in. I have had better accomadation and breakfasts in Little Chefs!”

“I would like to have known that I was staying in a room in a good state of repair and clean, which wasn't the case. The breakfast staff were unhospitable and the service was slow and seemed as if we were imposing or interupting their conversation.”

“The hotel provided adequate accomodation, but was a little tired in the interior decoration and furniture. when booking out was not asked if we had enjoyed our stay, its the little things like this that stick in your mind after a break.”

“Room in general was very comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. TV remote control needed new batteries.

“To be quite honest, we felt the hotel rooms required updating, they were rather out-dated. An en-suite shower facility would have been appreciated.”
