“The room was very small for American standards but for London standards wasn't too bad.”

“I like the layout of the hotel a lot, the location is perfect just behind Selfridges, two bad things: - no internet access in my room, elsewhere the internet is priced per minute, it is 25A# for 10 hours card, I am a heavy user too. It's not great. The staff is not very friendly either.”

“The location is great and the staff is friendly. If the weather is hot, the portable air conditioner in the room is overworked and its movable tube may fall from the window to the floor. The full breakfast is overpriced and the staff doesn't want you to linger over another cup of coffee.”

“The room we stayed in, on the 6th floor, is facing inward, which we thought would be quiet, was actually very noisy, with constant humming from either vent to heavy machinery. There's a portable AC unit in the room. When on, you can't hear anything else. The supposedly double bed is small for two adults, compared with other hotels in Europe that we stayed with a double-bed room.”

“Hotel is in good location, easy access to subway system. Rooms are noisy along busy street at all hours of the day and night. Internet access is only available on a computer in the lobby and is extremely expensive. Not a 4 star hotel, but I would stay here again for the right price.”

“For what we paid (120 USD) we got good value for money at the Self ridge. It is in a fabulous location near shopping and a lot of attractions. For example, we walked to the British Museum and to Buckingham Palace. The hotel itself, though, is a bit rundown, however we found it clean and thoroughly adequate.”
