“The Hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient to all the major attractions. The Staff was particularly helpful in helping me finalize a few travel details. The hotel is in a very good part of town.”

“The staff was friendly and helpful from check-in through check-out. The room was small by US standards, but plenty big enough for 3 adults (we requested a roll-away bed, rather than use the sleeper sofa). The AC was great - we could adjust the temperature of the room easily and everyone was very comfortable.”

“Very noisy hotel. The walls and door must have been very thin, we heard hallway traffic and every sound in the room next door all day and night! Annoying. Shower had poor water pressure. Room was clean, but a bit small. The location was good. It was two minutes from a major subway, however, this subway station was extremely crowded and slow moving in the mornings. I'd avoid this hotel in the future.”

“Clean hotel in a good location near the British Museum and University of London. Beware of the front desk staff, as they'll try to claim that you haven't yet been charged for the room, and they'll insist on charging you again. I stayed there twice, and it happened both times. Otherwise, a great value and really close to the Russell Square tube stop!”

“Well located, modern, and clean. The room had a refrigerator which is extremely rare in London in my experience. All in all we were very happy with our stay at this hotel.”

“Hotel is confidently located, only a block to the nearest tube stop, a short walk to the British Museum, and within 1 block of 2 grocery stores. That is helpful, because breakfast is not included with room rate. The Hotel has a pub and a restaurant, the pub is very good. Rooms are small but comfortable with a full range of services available.”

“Our request for a twin-bedded room was met. It had snowy white linens, a good bathroom, dishes and utensils, and was of a good size, particularly for London. The staff kindly helped us with a couple queries. A 24-hour grocery store and the Russell Square tube station are right around the corner.”

“After seeing what an American chain hotel was like in Madrid, I was happy with the cleanliness and size of this hotel. After reading some of the reviews of this hotel, I was a bit worried. They did not answer my last email as to directions to the hotel and what the weather was like. They tried to get me to upgrade and also charged two breakfasts that I had not ordered or received. All in all, a good hotel. Ask for a room away from the street. They probably will ask you to upgrade though.”

“Had to pay for upgrade-reservations for 2 adult and 1 child were not honored. Continental breakfast was complimentary (not true) had to pay an exhorbitant amount for it. No air condition--promised a rebate/deduction (not honored). On a hold, turned out pretty pricey. ”

“ Marble Arch and I had to spend extra 10 UK pound (approx. $19) to get to it from where I was at marble arch, The hotel itself is what you pretty much expect of Holiday inn - clean, basic, small. Nothing dramatic. Nothing special. The location is excellent - 1 block away from Russel Square tube station. 1 Block away from a 24 hour Tesco Express. All and all - a basic stay hotel with no thrills. You get what you paid for.”

“A quiet, family-friendly hotel in the heart of Bloomsbury with clean and well appointed rooms, half a block from the Tube, an easy walk to a ton of tourist attractions and the British Library. I loved the location and the service.”

“The area is near a university, and definitely trends young. The hotel seemed slightly dowdy for a Holiday Inn.”

“Impressive from outside as well as within, friendly helpful staff, free fitness centre across road for hotel visitors, easy access to tube, taxis always available right outside hotel. Generally, a place that you don't mind inviting friends to join you.”

“Overall not a bad experience, and its very handy if you''re trying to visit the British Museum which is a 5 minute walk. Also very handy for the London Underground, the Russell Square stop is a 1 minute walk. The signage to find the hotel could be better, as it is tucked onto a side street without much visibility from the main road.”
