Chequers offers four-star hotel services plus the privacy and freedom of self-contained apartments. Opened in 1998, the apartments have recently undergone renovation. With high ceilings and polished wood floors with tasteful throw rugs, Chequers is refreshingly spacious and bright. Each apartment has a kitchenette (microwave, sink and refrigerator (no hobs)) a modern bathroom with power shower, air conditioning (in most apartments), color cable TV with 20 satellite and cable channels plus internet access, 2 direct phone lines with a personal number and private voicemail, a modem line, and a desk. Each apt also has a private safe, hairdryer, lift access and card-key entry.
