• Convenient access to the Manchester Airport.
• No free internet access and no wireless internet access at all.

“Fine hotel for a stay before or after air travel. The quoted price of the room is lower than competitors but this hotel charges for internet access (and maybe TV) so it would actually cost more if you wanted those services.”

• Staff, excessive wait for shuttle from bus depot.

“The hotel itself was fine, very nice room and clean facilities with reasonable food. The big issue was the wait for shuttle pickup from the train station/bus depot at the airport. Called to request pickup and then waited 45 minutes with no shuttle. In the same time, saw 5 Hilton shuttles and several others. Called and they said they would leave in five minutes. The shuttle was then full-it seemed as though they waited until they had enough people to fill it before sending it. All in all, we waited about an hour for pickup and then when we explained this to the desk clerk, he had the audacity to ask my wife if we called and if we were in the correct location, immediately after we explained about calling twice and seeing all the other shuttles. Incredibly poor customer service.”

• The airport shuttle service was very convenient.
• I did not care for the stark and dark decor.

“The hotel was convenient for air travel. The rooms were clean, of adequate size and had sufficient storage space for one or two nights.”

• Location for quick access to airport.
• I found the door difficult to operate.

“I liked to location and convenience of shuttle bus pick up. My shuttle bus pick up was very efficient when I called from the bus station was picked up in just a few minutes even though it was about 10.15 p.m. Return to airport was also very efficient and helpful telling me which terminal I needed. I found my room door difficult to open and lock. I did not eat in the restaurant but there appeared to be a wide choice available. I observed several crew members arriving which made me think the location and service is good for them. Overall was very satisfied with my stay.”

• Restaurant open 24 hours.
• Locks need tending to.

“It is only 3 minutes from the airport. If you want to see the sites of downtown it may not be a prime location but for the business traveler it is supreme. The prices for the food were average and the restaurant is open 24 hours. To may that may not seem much but after arriving at many hotels after 10:00pm unable to eat until the next day it was fantastic.”

• Food in hotel restaurants expensive and not very good.

“This was described as a four-star hotel however the rooms and restaurants were certainly not what one would expect with a four-star status. Our first room was boiling hot and the TV didn't work and we had to be moved to another room. The second room was very small. The restaurants were very expensive and the food was poor. Very convenient location for the airport.”

• Great location. Great options and amenities.
• Parking is a problem. They are remodeling so there was construction going on at the time.

“Overall, this is a great hotel for the money. It is extremely convenient to access the airport and all Motorways. It has all the modern conveniences and amenities that a business traveler would want; it even has a gym and pool. There are also several great dining options which is rare in a hotel like this. Not the best hotel for a holiday or romantic getaway, but, other than that, it is great.”

• Location: very close to the airport!!!
• Old. Typical English hotel. Small rooms, old hotel.

“The staff are wonderful and they are doing renovation so we will see what happens when they are through. Rooms are typical, small English and confining. Would have driven me crazy if I had stayed for a long time. I was also at the nearby Hilton and same thing. It is an English/Euro thing. Unlike Heathrow they have free shuttle with outstanding service and that could lure me away from overnight at Heathrow where I am exhausted with their price gouging shuttle service, the Hoppa. Good hotel, see what happens when the renovation is complete. Again, wonderful staff.”

• Extremely convenient, ready shuttles to airport and good restaurants
• There was mold around the base of the shower in both of our rooms

“Perfect for the night before you fly out. They even monitor departures and arrivals from the lobby. Soft beds (unlike most in Europe)and 30 minutes of free internet.”

• Proximity to the airport and our terminmal made the return trip to USA far less anxiety oriented than it would otherwise have been.
• Coffee advertised as Starbucks was really instant; gratuity was added to bill when menu said it was included.

“In general, everything was excellent except the restaurant, which posed confusion for us in both items misrepresented and costs arguably higher than what was posted. We were so glad to be getting back home after a long trip that we accepted everything, but would have otherwise fought for better treatment. Overall we were pleased and would do the return trip the same way. ”
