• Amazing location, food best ever, facilities next to nothing, best holiday ever!
• At least 45 mins from Kota Kinabulu, Not a lot to do of an evening, drinks expensive

“Visited this hotel November 2004 and this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is absolutly amazing, surrounded by rainforest and the archetecture of the place is very much in keeping with the Malaysian way of life (Down to earth, Friendly and relaxed) When you arrive the wow factor really hits you and the hotel staff certainly know how to greet you in a very special way, which I won't say, as its best experienced by yourself. We stayed in a Sea View room and had a really great view with a huge room and plush bathroom. Then theres the food. There are Four restaurents one of which is a buffet and the others serve Indian, Californian style and Malaysian Hawker (barbeque) food and is outside on the beach ( which by the way is 2 miles long and never has anyone expect maybe 5 of the hotels guests on it! The Californain style restaruent Coast can rival and beat many of Londons top restaurents, and I'm not joking, the place is amazing. Only downside is the price of the alcohol, but who really wants it in this heat, beer is not too bad, but wine is very expensive. The hotels nature reserve and its three orangutans are a must, along with many other walks into the hotels own nature reserve, there is a Rasa Ria catamaran which departs on many excursions daily and it great to have available. This really is the best hotel in the area and is definatly better than the sister hotel Tanjung Aru, the setting, ambience and friendlyness of the staff here are fantastic. I am most jealous of people whom I hear are going there on holiday.”
