• Good rate, good location, good continental breakfast included
• bathroom, cigarette smell, overall condition of hotel poor but clean

“Overall I would say the average american would think the accomodations were poor. Old interior in need of cosmetic repair. Peeling wallpaper, torn carpetting on the stairs. Strong smell of cigarettes. Very small bathrooms. First room, toilet didnt flush. Staff very accomodating. Got another room. I believe that the price of 45 pounds a night was alot cheaper than most hotels (even for a February stay) but I did not really shop around for price because the location was very close to the relative I was visiting. Good points were: Staff was friendly. Very convenient to Glouchester tube stop. Good continental breakfast included in the price.”

• could do with a coat of paint and refurb in some rooms to bring up to the same standard as the dining room.

“that not all rooms were as nice as the images in the brochure.”

“Night time reception, friendly helpful and responsive.

Reception office in the morning ignorant and unhelpful.

Just can't get the staff these days eh?”

• position for visiting natural history museum
• electric socket loose, checkin time not as qouted on internet, room very small.

“hotel very close to tube station and very good for museums and Harrods. room did not have a radio or trouser press, beds comfortable and room quiet. continental breakfast very good.”

• only problem was confirmed reservation was not honored, however we were placed in a sister hotel closeby which was good

“free parking for guests will help many or atleast reasonably priced say 5 lbs per day”

• good location
• bad customer service,reception english wasnt too good

“rooms were tiny and not very clean,and the showers didnt work or had NO hot/warm water...limited plugs which were mainly europeon style and old. also bad windows to say that it was on the main road. even though i had complained about the showers and the rooms in general they didnt seem bothered they just asked everything else ok though with your stay?
we left 1 day early due tot he state of the hotel and no compensation was offered, even though i was supporting a disabled gentleman.
i know that you arent in your room too much but for the money it was very poor.
the only good thing was the location”
