“The staff was pleasant. The room was very clean, including the carpet. It was adequate in size as most European rooms’ are. Best of all, they serve a free continental buffet for breakfast. The ham was excellent and the croissants were warm and tasty. Also, it was located near a major tube station and near local eateries and a grocery store.”

“We were very disappointed in the hotel room. The bed was almost as big as the room, leaving no area to move around. The bathroom door couldn't even be opened all of the way because the bed blocked it. The bathroom itself was so tiny that you had to sit sideways on the toilet so your knees and body wouldn't hit the sink. The carpets were grossly stained in and out of the rooms.”

“I really like this hotel for the price that we paid for. It exceeded our expectations, especially for its convenient location in the heart of London. Its right above the Huston square metro and walking distance to king's cross. The continental breakfast included was great, and the staff was very friendly. The room that we got was spacious, considering the size of London hotel rooms. Overall, a great experience! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will reserve here again whenever we are in London.”

“The rooms were clean and the staff was mostly nice. However, the rooms were really small and cramped.”

“If the carpets were cleaned/replaced, and they put in furniture that could store things (drawers, cabinets with shelves).”

“Excellent location and great value for central London despite small size of rooms. Clean bathrooms with toiletries provided and flat screen TVs. Some street noise which guests may find bothersome.”

“Room very tiny, I banged my knee several times on the bottom of the bed inching my way round it to get to the bathroom & the shower didn't work properly. Although it worked on arrival, the lift was out of order when we came in at about 1.30am & we were 3”

“In my estimation the accomodations were adequate but did not meet the expectation I would have of an economy hotel in the states. Hallways were narrow and difficult to navigate, and rooms were extremely small (that may be the case in other European hotels as well). For the price I paid it was probably a value considering the cost of living in London in general.”

“I've been in larger broom cupboards! How can a hotel designer justify having less than a hands breadth between the toilet and the wall, making it impossible to sit on normally? Or less than a forearm length from sink to wall, making banged elbows the norm? How was I to shave when the only mirror was not above the sink - the sensible place - but outside the bathroom?

“The staff were very polite and helpful, great to be able to leave our luggage in store before checking in and departing london. we only stayed one night but were made to feel very comfortable. The hotel had a very plesant and warm feel about it.”

“The fact that made me very sad and made me be very negative about all the disadvantages of this 'hotel' was that they charged my credit card when I checked in! this is anacceptable! I booked via internet active hotels reservation system because I have seen that I would pay when checking out as it is normal. I expressed my objection to the man that was in the reception (29 january, Saturday, about 3.00 afternoon)but he told me that 'it is the policy of our hotel', response that I considere as a proove of a bad management and a very bad behaviour to the Customers. Shame because the position of the 'hotel' was very useful for me as I had to work in the British Library and in the Wellcome Institute for Medicine Library which is found nearby.

“I feel guests should be warned about the level of noise that can come from passing traffic particularly if you are in the east wing rooms.”

“I suggest you pay a little more and enjoy a better hotel, I would not stay here again if my life depended upon it!!”

Jackie from Oakham, Rutland, United Kingdom “Although some of the hotel has been refurbished to a high standard the bedrooms were very shabby. There was not a lot of room in the twin room we stayed in and also some of the furniture was broken. The continental breakfast was very basic with the coffee never available at 7.30 when we arrived for breakfast. In all we were very disappointed with the standard of the hotel and would unfortunalty not stay at the Euston again.”
