  • The breakfast buffet.
  • The shower was hard to get in/out of.

“The staff was pleasant. The room was very clean, including the carpet. It was adequate in size as most European rooms’ are. Best of all, they serve a free continental buffet for breakfast. The ham was excellent and the croissants were warm and tasty. Also, it was located near a major tube station and near local eateries and a grocery store.”

  • Location.
  • Room size was extremely tiny - you could barely move around! Carpets in & out of the room were stained and dingy.

“We were very disappointed in the hotel room. The bed was almost as big as the room, leaving no area to move around. The bathroom door couldn't even be opened all of the way because the bed blocked it. The bathroom itself was so tiny that you had to sit sideways on the toilet so your knees and body wouldn't hit the sink. The carpets were grossly stained in and out of the rooms.”

  • Great quality for the price, especially in London. Convenient location.
  • No ramp so difficult with baggage when entering hotel.

“I really like this hotel for the price that we paid for. It exceeded our expectations, especially for its convenient location in the heart of London. Its right above the Huston square metro and walking distance to king's cross. The continental breakfast included was great, and the staff was very friendly. The room that we got was spacious, considering the size of London hotel rooms. Overall, a great experience! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will reserve here again whenever we are in London.”

  • The staff was mostly friendly.
  • There were issues with the room we reserved and it was very small.

“The rooms were clean and the staff was mostly nice. However, the rooms were really small and cramped.”

  • Very clean, efficient staff.
  • Walls thin, could hear neighbors.

“Fine for close to town.”

  • Excellent staff, excellent location.
  • Dirty carpets.

“If the carpets were cleaned/replaced, and they put in furniture that could store things (drawers, cabinets with shelves).”

  • Clean bathroom with toiletries provided.

“Excellent location and great value for central London despite small size of rooms. Clean bathrooms with toiletries provided and flat screen TVs. Some street noise which guests may find bothersome.”

  • For -ú83 was expecting cooked breakfast. Got a very poor continental one instead.

“Room very tiny, I banged my knee several times on the bottom of the bed inching my way round it to get to the bathroom & the shower didn't work properly. Although it worked on arrival, the lift was out of order when we came in at about 1.30am & we were 3”

  • Clean and tidy. Close to the Tube station. Staff very helpful in dealing with my complaint by changing my room on the 2nd night.
  • Romm 404 had no air circulation. Could not open the window due to noise of cars from the main road. Could not sleep.

“The hotel was clean. Staff were very courteous. Resturant provided good breakfast.

The only problem was that the rooms facing the main road were too noisey and too warm. Should have some sort of air circulation or air conditioning.

Would recommend to others to ensure to book rooms away from the main road.”

  • Staff were excellent; checkin staff especially.

“Room was small but adequate and maybe just reflecterd on my preferences which were for specific location and low price.
Other guests were obviously as pleased with the support from hotel staff on wide range of needs.
I slept well, in a very quiet room; just what I wanted.”

  • Continental breakfast, helpful staff
  • Rooms are 'very' small, carpet needs to be replaced throughout

“In my estimation the accomodations were adequate but did not meet the expectation I would have of an economy hotel in the states. Hallways were narrow and difficult to navigate, and rooms were extremely small (that may be the case in other European hotels as well). For the price I paid it was probably a value considering the cost of living in London in general.”

  • It was very clean
  • Ridiculously small, no mirror in the bathroom, incredibly slow checkin

“I've been in larger broom cupboards! How can a hotel designer justify having less than a hands breadth between the toilet and the wall, making it impossible to sit on normally? Or less than a forearm length from sink to wall, making banged elbows the norm? How was I to shave when the only mirror was not above the sink - the sensible place - but outside the bathroom?

I'm not sure why it took nearly 20 minutes to check two of us in. That was way too long.

I was also disturbed to note that, when the clerk thought we wanted to collect luggage from the luggage room, he just handed us the key so we could go and help ourselves! That's lax security.

However, it was very clean, and tidy.”

  • on a hotel internet site
  • the noise in the room, from outside and other guests, e.g.slamming doors etc..

“The staff were very polite and helpful, great to be able to leave our luggage in store before checking in and departing london. we only stayed one night but were made to feel very comfortable. The hotel had a very plesant and warm feel about it.”

  • I was satisfied with the work made by the cleaning room personnel.
  • Room extremely small and inconvenient (there was not even a pot for the rush!), not even a poster on the wall (I felt like a prisonier!. Corridor small, very noisy in the morning and late at night.

“The fact that made me very sad and made me be very negative about all the disadvantages of this 'hotel' was that they charged my credit card when I checked in! this is anacceptable! I booked via internet active hotels reservation system because I have seen that I would pay when checking out as it is normal. I expressed my objection to the man that was in the reception (29 january, Saturday, about 3.00 afternoon)but he told me that 'it is the policy of our hotel', response that I considere as a proove of a bad management and a very bad behaviour to the Customers. Shame because the position of the 'hotel' was very useful for me as I had to work in the British Library and in the Wellcome Institute for Medicine Library which is found nearby.
The room was also very very small, and the bathroom very small too, where dust felt down to the shower cabine! (Despite of this, I must say that the service procured by the cleaning personnel was very nice).
There was not any problem about the breakfast that was fairly rich.
But I must also say that this is not a 'hotel', it is a Bed & Breakfast, and that must be clearly shown at your site, because if I knew that it is a Bed & Breakfast I would not book a room there ! Finally, I think that such a Bed & Breakfast room is extraordinarly expensive. And it's me that tells all these who is travelling very much in Europe.”

  • warm, spacious and TV with a working remote control. Proximity to the centre of town.
  • Excessive noise from the traffic going down Euston road. I needed peace and quiet as I had requested on my on-line booking!

“I feel guests should be warned about the level of noise that can come from passing traffic particularly if you are in the east wing rooms.”

  • Staff were unable to understand English. Wrong room was given to us. Room was adequately clean but hall's were in a dreadful state. Fire alarm went off they did not evacuate but didn't know how to turn the alarm off.

“I suggest you pay a little more and enjoy a better hotel, I would not stay here again if my life depended upon it!!”

“Although some of the hotel has been refurbished to a high standard the bedrooms were very shabby. There was not a lot of room in the twin room we stayed in and also some of the furniture was broken. The continental breakfast was very basic with the coffee never available at 7.30 when we arrived for breakfast. In all we were very disappointed with the standard of the hotel and would unfortunalty not stay at the Euston again.”

  • Nothing
  • Room not double by any standard.Shower/wc room far too small.

“This does not rank as a 3star hotel, compared to other chains - maximum 2star only
The general decor was below standard, and positively tatty .I am surprised that a substantial sum was apparently spent on refurbishment as it is not reflected in the condition.
Apart from the rooms being too small as above, the beds were too hard

and uncomfortable.Inmy booking form I specifically asked for a soft bed and pillows.
I left early for these reasons.”
