  • Handy for the centre. The room was warm.
  • The breakfast was appalling! There was no bacon and the scrambled eggs were disgusting.

“It was relatively cheap and well located. I wouldn't book again unless the food was sorted out. Kettles in the rooms would also be useful.”

  • Ideal location for the west end
  • Hotel smelled damp , room dark and old, second bed not comfortable and unstable all slept in one bed

“The location of the hotel was ideal for our visit. The staff are lovely kind and friendly to the children. From the out side the hotel looks ok. The inside lets it down it smells of damp and looks very old and run down. I just wanted a cheap nights acommadation so this was the best i could get for the price. I do think it is still expensive for what it is.”

  • Location. Rooms were warm enough.
  • Coffee machines broken, floors, bathrooms bedrooms dirty. single beds were no more than foam mattresses, with stained covers. paint needed everywhere. No useful lounge offered.

“The staff where friendly and courteous, and very helpful, and should have a hotel worthy of them. Unfortunately, this hotel needs some serious upgrades to make it worth the expense, even in Central London. We stayed in the Bloomsbury Thistle not far away, for the same price, and felt much more comfortable, and it was nicer and cleaner.”

  • The location, its proximity to London sites of interest, close to Oxford Street for shopping.
  • Rather basic, no tea/coffee making facilities, and no hairdryer in room.

“Although a very basic room, the beds where clean and comfortable, also a very quiet hotel at night. TV too high to watch in comfort, and no tea/coffee making facilities. Although hairdryer available at reception would have been nice to have in room. Breakfast was an experience - but having said that, it was not expensive, we got what we paid for - it was clean, tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful.”

  • - room was excellent value for money and good size - clean - friendly staff
  • - friend's room smelled of cigarettes - was given scrambled instead of poached egg for breakfast and told it was poached

“I was very impressed with the room I got, but as mentioned, my friend's was smaller and smelled badly of stale cigarettes. As we both paid the same, I'd worry in future that rooms are hit or miss. However for the location, you can't beat the price. I would definately come back, and will recommend it to friends visiting London.”

  • The room was clean and the service good. The hotel was situated in a good location. Easy to find.
  • The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. The organisation at breakfast wasn't very clear.

“The hotel was ok, i think the price and the location compensated for the bad points. I found the en suite bedroom very small and couldn't imagine staying there any longer than 2 nights. I think the breakfast staff could've been more forthcoming in welcoming you and explaining what you did at breakfast. I know i could've asked, but as a lone traveller it would've been nice for someone to have approached me.”
