“The facilities of the Renaissance give it a 4-star rating, but the interiors are more equivalent to a Best Western or Quality Inn. Wall paper falling off, stains all over the carpet, musty shower curtains, sofa you don't want to sit on because it seems dirty and worn, and old bedspreads that look dusty and in desperate need of a good wash. Overall - don't recommend staying here. If you do, expect a 3-star quality room and then you'll be fine.”

“Great location, big rooms, great view of Petronas Tower, and loads of nice amenities. The gymnasium was the most complete I have seen in any hotel, and the pool was nice too. Liked it so much, that we stayed two extra nights. The monorail was across the street, which made exploring KL easy.”

“The Renaissance hotel is actually comprised of 2 wings - the actual Renaissance wing and the East Wing. The East Wing which is actually a star lower in luxury. The rooms, while nice, are showing their age and in need of remolding. The property, however is 4 star deluxe. Great pool, wonderful location, helpful staff.”

“The room was a smoking room with two single beds. The carpets were seriously stained & dirty. The beddings were dirty and there was a stain on the pillow case. The washroom was dirty. I advised management of these issues and was offered another room that was equally dirty and had roaches.”

“Nice hotel at great location near Mono rail station. New World Wing is the former name, today it is called East Wing. West Wing is apparently newer and rooms are great. Rooms need to be refurbished as they are a little old and worn.”

“The staff was very friendly and the view from our room was quite nice. We had a 4 a.m. check out so we did not have a chance to use the hotel's restaurants or gym services.”

“An excellent well maintained hotel. The staff is pleasant and helpful and our room was of a good size. We had a wonderful view of the twin towers and the KL Tower from our window and the pool area was inviting and well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.”

“This hotel is extremely well located in the Golden Triangle area of KL It is a 100 meters or so from the Bukit Nanas monorail stop and about a 5-10 minute walk from KLCC and literally 100's of other restaurants. It has a Olympic size pool and full gym/sauna/steam room. The staff is very professional and efficient. I'd definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.”

“Much below usual Renaissance standard. On both days that I was there, service was so bad that I did not leave the hotel till 4 pm and lost time from my trip. Chief Concierge was one of the worst, but trainees were equally poor. English was poor, knowledge was poor. Restaurant service in Temptations extremely poor. Trainee English and knowledge poor. Overall, do not recommend a stay there, regardless of price. The other wing is far different. Also gift shop closes mid-day, in case you need anything, and quality of gift shop is not good. Looked like a nice buffet in other wing, but I did not eat there due to price. Staff seemed very helpful and good looked great.”

“This hotel has a great location. Central to the nightlife area on Jalan P. Ramleem, only 2 blocks from the world famous Petronas Towers, across the street from the Tourist Office. The dinner buffet at Temptations Restaurant was great. There were over 20 entry choices ranging from seafood and Asian cuisine to roast leg of lamb, and the price was reasonable too at $22 per person. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Kuala Lumpur.”

“The hotel is in an excellent location, close to patron¿s towers, kill tower, monorail, golden triangle, nightlife, etc. The facilities throughout the hotel were very impressive. The bathroom was very nice as the shower was great, but the living space was just average. Overall this hotel had excellent facilities and was a great value for the money.”

“Great hotel in general. We took the deluxe room and it was really nice. Hotel staff was nice and professional in general. We have mainly experienced with this hotel the following two problems:- Concierge staff: Very unprofessional and rude. One time we tried approaching a bigger taxi (mini van) since we had one extra person and the concierge guy was so upset and said no one can stop a taxi in the hotel without his approval!!! So, he let both vans staging there go out of the hotel because we talked to one of them. Then, he started speaking and shouting at us in a very rude way, we could not understand why!! Then he told us that the price to Gentling was 180 if we want to catch a taxi (even though there was no fixed pricing from the hotel for going to Gentling). We could not understand why he insisted on having him make the deal with a taxi. So, we talked to another minivan taxi when he was busy with another hotel guest and here's the surprise: the taxi driver asked for 150. That's when we started realizing what seemed to be going on. So, we took that taxi and reported the concierge to the hotel management immediately. Not sure what happened after that since we had a flight next day and we had to check out of the hotel.- Mosquitoes: we found many mosquitoes inside our room and in the first 3 days all my families arms and face were all full of mosquitoes bits. No preparations were done in the hotel to combat mosquitoes which was very painful for us during our stay in Kuala Lumpur.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Overall, I enjoyed the hotel. I was extremely surprised of the level of mold in bathroom, Room 2208. The rest of the hotel was extremely clean and no mold was present.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“This hotel went above and beyond in customer service even when I had a problem they fixed it right away and even followed up with a call to see if everything was o.k. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. As for the view our room faced the twin towers which was a bonus. The pool area was also beautiful. reasonable prices at restaurants also considering quality of hotel” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
