• Thames path.
• Environmental pollution of their coal fires.

“We stayed at this property during Christmas holiday 2008 and were very disappointed. The hotel burns coal in its public fireplaces most of the day and night creating a terrible odor both inside and outside the hotel. This gave us headaches and sore throats and spoils the atmosphere especially when walking around the surrounding village. It really smells awful. We found it very offensive that they would pollute the local environment so carelessly just to save money on real wood fires. The manager was not a very nice man. He was very aggressive a rude to a complaining customer and has a slovenly attitude and appearance. The food was excellent one night, but very average on second. certainly not Rosette quality and consistency. The dour Eastern European servers were not very friendly or efficient.”
