• Isolated from any close by activities, no "limo service" to Gatwick.

“The hotel is close to Gatwick airport, the view from many rooms is quite nice. The infrastructure of the hotel appears to be more than 25 years old but was in good repair. The elevators are little small for the traveler with several bags or more than one traveler in the lift. I would stay there again as a staging area for flights out of Gatwick.”

• Poor service, poor room, small uncomfortable bed, expensive for its rate.

“Didn't have booking when I arrived. Public PC's were all broken. 1 bed in room had been used and not cleaned. Another person in party had been given a room that was unmade and full of trash. Very poor experience.”

• Distance to airport for return flight home!

“The hotel was enjoyable for my 20th night of travel in Europe (Italy, Austria, Germany, and UK). My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the intensity of the reading light over the bed and took advantage of the ironing board and iron to press my shirt before the flight home to the US the following morning. I had the buffet meal in the hotel restaurant that evening. It was pricey, but the food was of high quality and there was a good variety. The bus from the hotel to Gatwick airport was only 3 BP, where as the taxi ride from Gatwick to the hotel was 12.50 BP. The ride is comfortable and short, so save your money.”

• They did compensate me for my troubles.
• Jacuzzi not working, a/c not working, fan was noisy!

“I was disappointed that the Jacuzzi was not in service for the 2 days I stayed. The a/c was not working and the fan they gave us was noisy and did not rotate. I had to ask for the manager the next morning to get anything done for me. And they do not have refrigerators in all of their rooms. I had to ask for an ice bucket also. Disappointing!”

• Large bright room with comfortable beds.
• Front desk staff at check in. didn¿t have our reservation and tried to charge us for the room after we had prepaid. They did this again upon checkout.

“The hotel was very nice. Nice large room. Comfortable beds. We ate in the bar area and had an excellent meal. A big drawback is that the shuttle that picks up at Gatwick only goes by about every hour or so. A hotel shuttle would be nice and make the hotel much more desirable.”
