• Nice cooked breakfast & friendly staff.
• Saturday night is karaoke - it's very loud and you don't get much sleep before 1.30 am!

“If you're going to the Milton inn and your stay will involve a Saturday night ask to have a room outside of the main building. The Milton inn's Saturday night entertainment is karaoke and aside from the fact some of the regulars think they are better than they actually are, it doesn't finish until 1.30 am and if you are in rooms 1 - 4 you are guaranteed to hear every single yowl, howl and wail that comes out of the microphone until you could quite cheerfully wrap said microphone around someone's neck! All rooms are designated smoking rooms which are slightly disturbing - seeing as smoking is banned in public bars etc - if you're a non smoker this may present problems for you. Overall rooms were okay - no base in the bottom of one drawer and cobwebs on ceilings, bathroom shower screen falling apart but those were minor gripes. Bar staff friendly, cooked breakfast was lovely and served by friendly waitress - no complaints at all there. We wouldn't go back again purely because of the karaoke - it was way too loud and went on far too long and ruined an entire night's sleep!”
