For your info, a cab ride to the hotel cost about as much as the Edinburgh Shuttle Service. Air link will get you to Princes Street, but it's a fairly long walk if you have any baggage to the hotel.”

“Great location if you don't mind being next to a busy road, but ideal for the city centre. Clean, comfortable and traditional decor in the hotel and modern decor in the restaurant. The restaurant did great food, and the service was good (though not up to the friendly Canadian standards where we live). All in all a great hotel and definitely recommended. Front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming.”

“The service was excellent and the hotel itself met every expectation we could have had for a four star hotel. We took advantage of the spa inside the hotel and had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone, for business or pleasure.”

“This is a lovely hotel, away from the downtown core. Walking to the main attractions is about 30 minutes away. However, a great bus system makes the city easy to handle. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is very clean. The rooms all need a freshen-up as the linens and the furniture are quite dated. I would however stay here again. Boardgames available in one of the reception rooms helped to pass the nights in sometimes rainy Edinburgh.”

“All facilities fantastic, I can't really say more than that. Would definitely return to Edinburgh and hotel. I always stay in Best Western Hotels if they are available.”

“very helpful staff and clean spacious room with good view, only a short walk to city centre and excellent bar/lounge dinning facilities only fault was the poor television reception.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly, helpful staff. The nicest hotel room we have stayed in for a long time. Brilliant food and service. I had particularly looked for a hotel within walking distance of the castle with free parking. Could not fault the hotel at all. Would have liked to know that Edinburgh is not very well signposted for attractions so that I could have purchased a map or printed a Multimap out.” Amenities at Best Western Bruntsfield Hotel, Edinburgh
