Within roaring distance of the home of Scottish rugby while only being 20 minutes walk from the west end of the city centre this hotel is an ideal location whether in Edinburgh for business or pleasure. The hotel is traditional in decoration with 30 ensuite bedrooms of a 2 star standard. The tranquil atmosphere of the hotel makes it an ideal venue for small meetings, private dinners and parties. Group bookings are welcome. There is a beer garden located at the front of the hotel and private parking to the rear. The hotel bar is open all day and meals are served in the bar or restaurant. The hotel is very convenient for public transport links into the city centre or Edinburgh Airport.[less]

The bathroom was beautiful, spacious and well supplied with extras.
Our first floor room was above the bar, which was noisy during televised sporting events.

“The Murray field had that traditional old look exterior, but the rooms were tastefully remodeled. It gave the appearance of higher priced hotels in the area. The en suite was larger than that of any other hotel we stayed at in Scotland, and it was equipped with high quality extras (soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc.) Found only in more expensive hotels. Since we arrived via Edinburgh airport the location was great for us on the airport express and public transportation routes. Easy, affordable access to downtown, the airport, the zoo, Murray field stadium. We would recommend this hotel. It was a surprisingly good find.”
