“Very well located hotel in the centre of the city with inclusive safe parking. Although looking a little tired, the hotel was clean, the rooms well presented and showed good value for money.”

“Overall we were pleased we chose this hotel. It was in a good location next to the river and had good access to restuarants bars etc.
We enjoyed the use of the fitness club facilities and we both had a massage in the spa which we would recommend.
The room was nice but fairly average. We have stayed in similar quality rooms for a much lower cost.”

“On arriving we could hear the cleaners talking in the room next door. Fortunately that room was empty on the night we stayed. Had it been occupied I think we might have been embarassed. Generally a v.pleasant stay made all the more so by cheerful helpful staff.”

“It's a nice hotel, but not luxury by any stretch of the imagination. The room was comforable and quiet, with duvets rather than blankets, but there was no hairdrier in the room. Also, one lift was on the blink for the entire duration of the visit, and the other one had a flickering flourescent tube. Also, for a four star, there was a concierge desk but no concierge and no one offered help with the bags. You do expect a bit more for over '100 a night.”

“This hotel is in a fantastic location on the river and in the centre of town. Traditional Pubs are located within a 1 minute walk. Main shops within a 4 minute walk. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. Only one small criticism was that the Room Maid was a little unpredictable with the replacement of some items e.g. toilet rolls, shower Gel, flannels etc..and the bed was not the best. However the room was kept very clean and so was the rest of the hotel. The Crowne bedrooms were worth the extra money. Ours was large, very clean and quiet. It had a great river view with a balcony and table and chairs, which would be great for the summer. Bathrobes, Slippers, Magazines, Morning Paper and extra snacks a bonus. Temperature of room perfect - easily controlled. Great car parking - flexible and free! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back to this hotel.”

“The staff didn't make any effort to be nice and infact in some cases quite rude. The bar was quiet and the barman did not seem busy yet there were tables left with plates and glasses on them for a long time. Then when we went through to dinner where we had booked a table at reception on check in we were told quite abruptly there were no tables and to come back in 30 mins, which we did only to be told again quite abruptly there were no tables even though i could see tables that just needed resetting. i was very disapointed that there was absolutely no effort made to accomodate us. So we decided just to have a bar meal I ordered a BLT Baguette and it came without the tomato. At breakfast we were not offered any tea, coffee or toast and eventually had to ask and then when it did come the tea was stewed. I would not normally complain but as this was a special occasion my self and my partner were extremely dissapointed with the whole experiance.”

“Chose this hotel because it was central to Cambridge and it did not disappoint. Clearer instructions on how to reach the hotel would have been helpful especially as certain roads are not open at certain times.”

“Very impressed with the hotels facilities and location. The staff were very helpful, well turned out and very motivated. Breakfast was very nice however a cold buffet style breakfast would of been nice. But in the hotels defence I did not ask for a cold buffet selection.”

“A pre ordered vegetarian meal was served for my 2 daughters and their husbands. Firstly the incorrect meal was served to them, and secondly the rice was totally undercooked. (Mushroom risotto). The room was very disappointing as per the comments above.”
