• Friendliness and welcome of the staff.
• Some rooms waiting renovation, though still of a high standard.

“What a fantastic welcome at this small family run hotel. We found all of the staff to be extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel has recently undergone refurbishment which is to a very high quality.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choice.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for that special break, and we look forward to staying there again.

Our outstanding memories of this hotel are the welcome and friendliness of all the staff.

“Friendly staff. Great breakfast room, meal and service. Only issue was the availability of a bath / shower in the room and our request to change rooms was met immediately with an upgrade at no extra charge. The owner took the opportunity to explain their plans for immediate improvements to help provide for flexibility of bathroom services. This will be an issue for some guests perhaps depending on which room they book and their requirements but clearly any plumbing limitations of this hotel come across in other reviews.”

• Homely atmosphere. Attentive friendly staff. Excellent location. Excellent breakfast.
• The bath needs a shower attachment. Suggest a combined tap/shower head.Beds very firm!

“We would have preferred a shower bath but appreciate that the room layout with three beds could not easily accommodate this. On a short stay this was not a problem.We would stay again.”

• clean, and very luxurious,proprierters very hospitable.Lovely large rooms, with character.
• thought we would have a better view of the garden, would go up a floor next time.

“Would like to have known that the room wasnt exactly overlooking the garden, as it was obscured by the shrubs and bushes, will choose a room with a better view next time.Apart from that everythink was excellent, the hosts were lovely and very informative, and the breakfast was very good.Would definately recommend for someone who wanted a nice relaxing break with exellent service from the hosts. Look forward to staying their again next year.”

• The room (superior single) was big enough.Nice good size bed.The staff got breakfast was ready even before the actual time as i had to leave early.The Wc was small but otherwise comfortable.Coffee and tea facilities excellent.The room was well kept.
• The heating was not good at times.My room being in the basement didnt hAmobile range always.There was no bath in the WC.

“There was ample parking space and the access is easy from the motor way.(I didnt follow their instructions but took the longer route,took exit at jn 11,followed A40 to cheltenham and then took the A46.The staff wa well mannered and polite and helpful.The hotel has a decent sized lounge and a bar even though drinks were a little expensive.Overall i was pleased and good value for money.”

“I was visiting the Greenbelt Festival with my daughter in law, who was also delighted with the room. I only stayed one night but wished it had been for longer!”

• Good location, the staff were very friendly and were full of useful information about Cheltenham, the room was very comfortable and the food was good.
• None - we would stay there again.

• Brilliant location, good for parking. An excellent breakfast. Non smoking hotel a bonus.

“Cleanliness of Hotel directly you walk in. Being a non smoking hotel is wonderful as everwhere you walk there is a fresh smell. Staff were very helpful. Well equipped bedroom with hair dryer, tea making facilities etc. The breakfast was superb. A highly recommended hotel.”
