“If cant find another will do the job but wouldnt rate highly, have stayed in worse though. Better than a poor holiday inn!”

• Location was excellent
• A little worn

“The hotel was very good for the business traveller, good bar area, good location close to whitherspoons for cheap beer, kebab stand on the way back what more could you ask.
We have stayed in many of the hotels round Bristol and found this, if not the cleanest certainly the most hospitable.”

• Very friendly staff and good location to nearby attractions without being in the city.
• There was nithing we didnt like about the accomodation.

“Everything i needed to know was available from the active hotels or the westbourne hotel website. Active hotels website e-mailed all directions and website for the hotel. All round the service and accomation we recieved was of high quality.”

• staff were friendly, polite and quick for service. situated within walking distance to the town and whiteladies road
• Decoration requires updating, wall paper peeling off, marks on walls. banisters were also a little dodgy!!

“Generally the hotel was good and we enjoyed the stay. Staff were excellent in service. However it would have been beneficial to have pictures of the inside of the hotel, particularly the rooms. Informed that room would sleep 4 adults but did not mention that this involved bunkbeds.”

• limited off street parking, but at least there is some.

• Very helpfull and polite staff, very clean hotel,good brakefast, good bar prices, car parking.

“Easy to find, able to park in hotel car park at front, greeted on arrival and helped, booking in easy, showed to room, room very clean and pleasant. Plenty of hot water, TV and drink making facilities, offered newspapers. Good bar and prices, excellent brakefast, booking out easy, help and map provided to find shops. Look forward to staying again.”

• Room was comfortable. Quiet.
• Would have been better if there was a real restaurant there.

• Decor was tired and grubby in places.

“While the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, the biulding is in need of a little investment. The decor is tired and grubby around the edges. Parking is also a little difficult, although I got lucky and got a space on the limited parking area. Geagraphically well positioned.”

• Staff very pleasant. Room small but had everything.
• Limited parking.

“The hotel is in Clifton & is about a 15 minute downhill walk to Bristol City centre. Clifton Suspension Bridge is about ten minutes away slightly uphill. Eating out you can find just about every kind of cuisine from Lebanese to Japanese.”

• Nice, well-appointed room, for its class. Friendly and helpful staff.
• Think the price was too high, compared to similar rooms in London and other countries. No online booking discount or specials.

“Would like to know if a refridgerator available. Also was surprised to see 3 other hotels in the same street, maybe which offered better prices, but that I never found on the internet.”

• Resturant/Bar area was open to the public. Didn't like the idea of sitting down to dinner and members of public coming in for drink. Think there should be seperate resturant for guests.

“For business purposes I felt that this hotel was just too far outside of the town centre/business area. Stayed in a twin room which I felt was a little on the small side.”
