• Very beautiful foyer and helpful staff.
• Pool was closed for a month repairs. Expensive for internet.

“Great hotel with all the comforts of home. Staff are very helpful. Pool closed, but lots to do in the city and it was close to everything we we're looking for in Brisbane.”

• Amenities too expensive (parking, internet access, telephone).

• Linen & comfy beds, frig, position on Brisbane River.
• Expensive breakfast, slippers & robes not in room, though available for the asking.

“Luxury Hotel in good position for exploration of Brisbane City. Very close to restaurants and walkways along river, and a few blocks to City shops. Good pool, spa, saunas and large gym. We enjoyed our stay very much. Well trained staff.”

• The desk clerks, and bellman, mainly were excellent in an ongoing way.
• Macintosh unfriendly for wireless. Separate charges for each computer in same room.

“It was a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere. Staff exceptionally friendly and very efficient. Room service excellent and very prompt.”

• It was very clean and spacious.
• Lots of business/conference goers hanging about the lobby all the time.

“Clean efficient hotel in an excellent location. Maybe a bit expensive. Valet parking was very slow and left me waiting twenty minutes.”

• The staff were excellent and helpful. Restaurant service staff went over and above.
• Cleanliness was not great. Recently change smoking to non-smoking floors still horrible smelling had to request to be moved.

“The hotels location on the edge of Downtown has excellent river views and access to the walkways. nice quiet area.”

• I really like the service, comfort, and equipment of the hotel.
• The breakfast is kind of on the expensive side but you can easily have cheaper breakfast at close by riverside cafes.

“The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Within minutes they organized a new room for me because it was full of cigar smell despite their 100% smoke free policy. Bathroom, beds, TV equipment are the latest greatest. Unfortunately, you have to pay for internet usage. Overall a great hotel.”

• The young man who brought my luggage to my room pointed out the best place to by replacement luggage.
• Graduation party in lobby.

“I arrived at the hotel at 7:00am in the morning, after my flight from Singapore arrived. I didn't know if there would be a room available straight away and dreaded to think I would have to roam the streets of Brisbane at that hour. The gentleman at the check in desk told me there was a room available for an extra if I wanted it, since I was so tired I agreed. The room was lovely but a bit pricey on top of what Id already paid. Food service was friendly and expedient and bellboy nice and informative.”

“Brisbane Marriott totally met our expectations. They were very friendly and were happy to provide extras such as a roll out bed and adapter. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Brisbane.”

• Elegant, well appointed, comfortable, well located with friendly and helpful staff.
• The breakfast buffet selections were too highly priced at $35 for full and $29 for continental breakfast.

“An elegant, charming hotel close to the river, good shopping and great restaurants. Although part of a large chain, this hotel has the charm and feel of a smaller boutique hotel.”

• One of the best hotel staff I've encountered--truly outstanding.
• Needs blackout curtains.

“Not a perfect hotel, but I was really pleasantly surprised by the consistently professional and polite staff. I don't think I've stayed anywhere where every person I interacted with really went so far beyond expectations. Would strongly recommend over other choices in Brisbane.”

• Gorgeous lobby, bar and restaurant on main floor. Brisbane friends were really impressed when they came for dinner.

“I arrived at the Marriott at 9 am. after a long international flight. Check-in wasn't till 3 pm, and I was just going to leave my bags till a room might become available. It was Sunday morning on a busy weekend in the city. The receptionist asked: "Where did you just come in from," and after I told her she said, "I think you must be too tired to have to wait for your 'standard queen' room. Why don't we upgrade you to a king room with a river view, sir. No extra charge sir." Need I say more? The service was impeccable, and I had the best lamb shanks I've ever tasted at their lobby restaurant, Petrie's. I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.”
