  • Great price.
  • Carvery, especially the meat, was very average.

“Great value by Black pool hotel standards but the restaurant seemed to be run by very inexperienced and younger staff. The rooms were very basic. Full of kids when we visited and all in all, not the normal Hilton business type hotel.”

“When it had said completely renovated I was expecting just that, but was disappointed. Its a lovely old hotel and in some areas it shows it. I enjoyed my stay there but would not rush back.”

  • general ambience, food quality, and presentation were very good. Staff were most helpful.
  • Wrong room type allocated on arrival, changed without any problem.

“We knew what we wanted when we made the booking, we therefore chose very carefully the standard and position of the hotel. Our choice was made from the hotels we expected to meet our requirements.
The deciding factor was the deal offered by the Imperial since it dovetailed very well with our needs, and offered good value for our money. Some work being done at the hotel was a little disruptive but nothing serious.”

  • Staff friendly
  • Very dated rooms

“Currently undergoing extensive building work, unable to see front of building, staff very friendly and willing to help, bedrooms very dated our bathroom had a cracked sink not what we would have expected from a 4 star hotel. Lovely position on the front restaurant overlooks the sea. Has very good leisure facilities available. Would return to the hotel but not until refurb is finished”

  • Clean, efficient, good food
  • Small room although sufficient for the purpose of the stay.

“Overall very satisfied with my stay. Good location, close but far enough away from the main bulk of amusements etc to have some peace and quiet while trying to work. Excellent room service. Friendly bar service and tasty food.”

  • Clean, nicely decorated and breakfast good
  • No information regarding hotel facilities in room.Breakfast room very hot and tables very close together

“Hotel has an orginal feel to it. Didn't feel like we were staying in a faceless big chain hotel. Easy access to town and staff friendly and helpful.Rooms quite small but clean and neat.”

  • It was clean and comfortable within the room
  • The room was a typical single room hidden away with broken catches on the windows looking at another wall and with a roof below ,but it was 1.2 price. I would not have accepted it if I had to pay full price.

“The inside of the hotel was clean but the outsde apart from the front laft you feeling - ugh - what have I come to ! The net cutrtains at the windows look filthy from the carpark side.

I wonder how much costomer care the reception staff have had.”

  • the ambience of an old victorian hotel. The staff we met were cheerful and helpful.
  • no undersheet on matress.bathroom needs updating, windows needed cleaning.

“This imposing hotel on the quiet north side of blackpool, a pleasant walk from the hub of the golden mile of entertainment, is worth a visit.
Although slightly tired and in need of some updating it offers excellent leisure facilities and friendly service. The tram service runs right outside the door if the bracing sea air is too much in October.
Once on the Golden mile be prepared for the cheap and tacky, hen and stag parties staggering along the sea-front and the evidence of their overindulgence visable on the seafront the following day. Do visit Harry Ramsden fish and chip restaurant and the show 'Funygirls' the latter of which is entertainment at its very best and not to be missed.
Blackpool is a bit of fun and to be enjoyed with candyfloss and ice-cream whatever the weather.”
