• Its proximity to the train station.
• Dirty carpets, depressing rooms.

“I could not believe how ugly this hotel was. The carpets in the hall were very dirty, the room itself was depressing and ugly. I would not recommend it to anyone.”

• Very close to a great area with sightseeing and restaurants.
• Double beds were two twin beds pushed together.

“We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel since the staff was friendly and it was in a great location. Very easy to get there from the train from the airport and local restaurants and night spots were fantastic. Metro made sightseeing very easy and affordable.”

• Located very close to metro and was generally clean.
• Extremely small room though I am sure this is common for budget hotels.

“A friend recommended this hotel. the hotel Santa Marta was located very close to a metro, and in Barcelona the metro is incredibly easy to use and can get you everywhere you need to go. However, the room was very small, and the hotel was located down a somewhat shady looking alley. I¿m sure the size is common among budget two star hotels, but it was a shock to me. Breakfast consisted of bread, coffee, juice, and water. Not bad for free. If you aren¿t planning on doing anything but sleep in your room, which we did, it's a decent bet for those looking to spend less than a hundred a night. You might be just as well off in another place however. Personally, a location walking distance to lasso¿s rumbles would have been preferred. This hotel was a metro ride w/ transfer or an eight euro cab ride away.”
