• The staff was friendly.
• In need of clean up and updating-very moldy smell.

“The hotel is very much in need of repair and a thorough cleaning. The carpet is filthy. We changed rooms several times during the stay because of air conditioners that would not work and toilets that overflowed and tubs and sinks that would not drain. The staff tried to help but the hotel just needs updating and a good CLEANING!”

• They could have had more luggage carts, but they were extremely busy.

“I liked the free full breakfast and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. For a Hurricane evacuation hotel it was nice.”

• Breakfast was the best, forget the continental breakfast, this was the best. The pool was the best.
• I can't think of anything. Staff was friendly, good location. Cant think of anything negative.

“I was looking for just a place to stay, but my family and I very much enjoyed this Hotel. Even the vending machines had a variety of munchies. The pool was wonderful for the kids and us.”

• Very nice desk staff.
• Bad area of town, people were babying outside rooms, AC didn't work well.

“The hotel has seen better days. It's in a bad area of town. The AC didn't work well, there was water damage to the ceiling in the room. They seemed to allow clients to use portable bbq grills on sidewalk outside of their rooms near pool. Not very professional looking. The restaurant provided a free breakfast and kudos for having sausage and eggs rather than continental style, but the food wasn't very good.”

• The price was nice & it was clean.
• It was an older hotel, looked & smelled its age.

• The registration personnel were very nice and helpful.
• Not sure if the bed cover had been cleaned in a while.

“For a 2-star this hotel was adequate. The breakfast was very good with several healthy selections. I also appreciated having a laundry facility where I could do my own laundry. The room was a good size and kept clean.”

• Free FULL breakfast & GOOD food; refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer in room, free USA Today, Free HBO, NICE staff, very clean & safe, great location.
• Nothing.

“FREE full breakfast and good HOT food. Sausage links, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, cereal and milk, pastries, yogurt, jellies/butter, OJ, grape juice, apple juice, coffee, cream & sugar. FREE HBO/cable/USA Today. Promotion included a small gift bag upon arrival. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board in room. Great location - very clean and safe. Quiet premises. All staff was efficient, fast and friendly. Great value for the price. I just can't imagine anything else one could ask for!”

• Nice foyer and good sized breakfast for free.
• Elevators.

“I don't think it should be rated the same as other hotels listed in the same 2 star category for Tyler. There are some brand new hotels listed in the same 2 star classification as this one so basically you never have hope of getting one of those because this one is never going to be full. It is not in the "social hub" of Tyler.”

• The price & breakfast buffet.
• Dirty lobby and noisy.

“My stay was okay. I had to change rooms since a softball team stayed on the same floor and right across the hall from me. I also had a screaming badly right next door, so it was noisy- really noisy! Anyway, the hotel really needs some updating and be lightened up- it's really dark and glooming in there. Staff was great and the breakfast buffet is also wonderful!”

“Hotel looks really run down, but did serve my purpose. The lobby had several papers in the floor, which stayed there (several hours) until the next morning. There wasn't any ice machine on my floor, but it wasn't too much trouble to go find it. The desk clerk flirted a lot with the two gentlemen that needed a room, but she finally checked me in on another computer. I would have liked for her to check me in, since I did have a reservation and then flirt all she wanted with the other guys. Overall, I managed!”

“The room was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, was very disappointed about the run down condition of the outside of the hotel. The outside needs a coat of paint, very badly, there was a large puddle of water right at the front entry, the front entry (outside) was not swept, the cover on the walk way to the restaurant was torn, the flower garden was not kept etc. I do not discriminate against race, however, it has been my experience that those who seem to be from a certain part of South Asia are not concerned about the upkeep of their facilities and are many times very unpolite.”

“This is a great hotel for business travelers! The staff is wonderful and the location is good. It is not luxurious, but it works for what you need it for. I will stay there again on business.”
