• Convenient and easy in/out
• Pre-Authorization for a few hour stay

“Very quick and easy for a short stop in Tampa before heading down to Key West. Lovely location, lovely room and couldn't even tell I was a few hundred feet from an airport!”

• The Hotel staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms and the pool area were clean and well maintained.

“This is an excellent hotel. Everything you need is within walking distance and you never have to go outside.”

• Convenient for a late night flight.
• Parking and levels a little confusing.

“Very comfortable and astonishingly quiet for a hotel attached to an international airport. Very convenient for travelers--I was picking up my daughter who arrived on a late night flight and I did not want to make the turn around 3 hour drive home afterwards. This was a perfect solution at a most reasonable cost.”

• Room temperature was difficult to adjust and keep level.

• Convenience to airport can't be beat. 2 minute walk from hotel to check in.
• Not good if you have to go in and out of hotel property frequently airport traffic.

• Airport convenience, comfortable beds, quiet.
• No microwave, refrigerator in room. A charge for internet.

“It was great being right at the airport. Very comfortable beds. No fan in the bathroom. There was a $14.99 internet charge. Would have liked a microwave and refrigerator in the room.”

• Location for convenience.
• The check-in clerk kept insisting we had two rooms, which we did not and charged us incorrectly.

“The Marriott's are always a great choice. This is a nice hotel right within the airport and very convenient. It was also fun to browse the airport shops and have several places to choose to dine.”

• Surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel and the rooms did not smell musty which is common in Tampa.
• Rains caused the roof to leak and drip down the outside wall.

“They keep this really well maintained for a 40 year hotel, but it is definitely showing its age. It is probably experiencing some issues from all the construction at the airport, but it could use some major structure maintenance.”

• Location in TPA Airport.
• Loud toilets and expensive internet charges.

“In the morning you can hear the other rooms toilets flush, not just the room next to you. Internet is 14.95 + tax per day should be no charge.”

• Old outdated hotel and rooms, not a Marriott quality place.

“The hotel is outdated; the only good thing is that in the airport. It was convenient to us for that one night. I would not stay there again.”

• Great staff, excellent facilities, and fantastic location.
• Our first room was too close to the room next door. We could hear their conversation.

“The first night we stayed there we had a problem. We could hear the people in the adjacent room very clearly. This problem was compounded by the fact that they stayed up very late. I was not too happy that we could hear them so easily and requested a new room. The staff at the hotel honored my request and placed us in better room with some upgrades at no charge. The staff at this hotel was great! We loved the new room and we loved the dining facilities. Next time we are in Tampa I will try to get this hotel again.”

• Too expensive for a short stay.

“This hotel was PERFECT for my needs late night arrival of a tired but light sleeper. I would DEFINITELY stay here again; the convenience and comfort can't be beat.”

• The staff was courteous.
• Being located in the airport was a pain.

“The hotel itself was very nice - furnishings, rooms, staff, were all great. It didn't have complimentary hi-speed wireless, which was annoying. The major pain was its location, however - noise from the airport wasn't the issue, more so the pain of driving in & out of the airport several times per day.”

• Loved the sky tower, food was great.
• Small bathroom.

“The Tampa Marriot at the Airport was clean and great for traveling. You could sit at the bar and watch people at the pool or have a great meal in the sky tower and enjoy all of Tampa as you rotated.”

• It was in an airport, so it had restaurants we could walk to.
• Cab fares from the airport were pricey.

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The rooms do not come with DVD player nor does the TV has the capability to connect to a DVD. It cost $80 to rent a DVD.

“The hotel is rated 3 stars. It doesn't make sense that there are no DVD players in the room or at least build into the TV. I explained to the manager I was told that you offer a DVD rental, however, when I checked in they stated that there are no DVD players to rent. I was receiving conflicting stories. The manager did not charge us, which I was grateful. They rolled another TV with a DVD player into my room.”
