• Great location, great staff, easy access to riverboat and trolley line.
• Room was a little neutral, comfortable but not luxury, no hot water first night.

“Great location for access to riverboats and trolley which go everywhere. Taxi is cheap if you are in a hurry. Had 7 and 8 year old grandchildren and they would have been happy if we had never left the hotel. Pool was great and had direct access to pool from room.”

• Bed was most comfortable, cleaning staff excellent.
• Too far from center of activity.

“The hotel was nice the service in the restaurant was mediocre they offered us the buffet at the same time they were braking it down for next meal. my view was supposed to be Riverview but all I saw was the makings of the new canal, construction site.”

• The bathroom toiletries were ok.
• Zero customer service, extremely loud hotel, not on the Riverwalk, unsafe part of town, bad food, unclean, staff was rude, unhelpful.

“We initially liked the look of the hotel. However we were not helped with our many bags. The "Bell man" didn't even offer to open the side door when he saw us struggling with 6 bags and our 2 year old son! I was not greeted at all at the front desk. I was given a blank stare when I told her I was checking in, then handed a room key without so much as a hello or thank you. No offer to help with bags again. The waiters in the cafe were rude and unfriendly. The food was nothing more than a TV. dinner. The only dessert in the whole hotel was a styrofoam carton of ice cream. The only view of the Riverwalk is from the cafe balcony. It is a very small section that empties into a drainage ditch occupied by about 20 homeless people. Sadly not very appetizing. The pool was to say the least dirty. We actually had to call someone to clean up dog pool next to the pool. We had 2 sleepless nights. First the vacant room next to us had an alarm that went off for 2 1/2 hours until I made a fourth call to the front desk before it was turned off. The people below us were having a full on hotel party for 3 hours. The front desk said there was nothing they could do. Even though our walls were vibrating from the loud music. Vulgarities were being screamed from the balcony below us and woke up my 2 year old son. Even after 3 phone calls to the front desk and my husband threatening to check out, nothing was done. This was a terrible hotel and I would never suggest anyone stay here!”

“This hotel was a great value for the money, the staff was friendly, the room was very nice, wireless internet, etc. The parking was a bit annoying and pricey at $14 a night. It was steps from the Riverwalk and in a great location.”

• The lobby and bar area were attractive; staff was very friendly.
• The pool was not heated and it was dirty; room cleanliness was inconsistent.

“The hotel is convenient to the river walk. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Sometimes the room was cleaned and sometimes the toilet and shower area were left uncleaned; no fresh coffee cups or glasses. We'd probably stay there again, but would also check out other possibilities.”

• Closeness to the Riverwalk and convince around the restaurants.
• I did not like the idea have to pay for parking that wasn't in a disclosure agreement.

• Absolutely nothing.
• Everything about this hotel was equally horrible.

“I would never ever stay at this hotel again even if you paid me! I had to place a towel at the door because there was a huge gap at the bottom. The door was too short. The room smelled of smoke and I had to use a large amount of Lysol just to make it bearable. Something bite me all night in the sheets. I had the bite marks to prove it. The toilet seat was so low to the ground that it felt like I was squatting outside. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. That bad really folks!”

• Great location and just an amazing hotel.
• The parking garage is an issue. There should not be one ramp to enter and exit from. Very dangerous!

“Great hotel and a great location. Overall, I really liked the hotel and sincerely enjoyed our stay. The only down fall to the experience was the parking garage. I was not pleased about having to honk on the way up and down and hope that no one would be coming the opposite way, it is a very unsafe system, and I would not have taken the risk if there were anywhere else I could have parked (the lot was full).”

• We really liked the customer service we got we also liked the bar they have there.
• Someone in restaurant was rude prices could be cheaper.

“We really liked the entertainment and also loved iguana, the toucans and the slow turtle, the comfort of the bed very comfortable.”

• The day staff was friendly and moved us close to elevator for my husband who is handicapped.
• No close place to eat except the one in the motel and the service there was not good or friendly food was way over priced.

“The motel was ok. Lady that checked us in was rude. I talked to them 3 times to let them know we were going to be there late and we needed a room close to the elevator. My husband is crippled. Well that did not happen until the next day. The food was ok but over priced and the service was not good. Waited a long time and they were not friendly. Roaches were in the lobby.”

• It was very trendy, warm and welcoming.
• Paying to park, if I am staying there my car should be included.

“I really like the hotel, it wasn't directly on the main Riverwalk strip, but still really close I would advise others to stay here only in the summer, it would be much better.”

• Bar and restaurant were very nice
• Rooms dated, heater noisy. Layout inconvenient to elevator and parking.

“Acceptable accommodations for a night or two. Would not recommend for longer as rooms were very small, electrical did not work in every outlet and plug in bathtub drain did not work causing water to become deep while showering. Rooms had no table for in-room dining. Details are not the hotels strong-suit. Staff was acceptably polite.”

• Pretty good location.
• Toilet did not work, VERY loud a/c unit, room smelled like smoke, TV broken (couldn't turn volume down past certain point), poor wireless connection.

“Decent looking hotel- cute decor considering price, friendly staff. However, I felt like I was staying in a Motel 6 based on all the things that were wrong w/ the room (see above).”

• The kids just LOVED the toucan and iguanas! We loved the open balcony and all the beautiful art!
• Riverwalk has not been expanded yet so we had to walk a long way to the attractions.

“Overall-we loved this hotel. I believe that after the Riverwalk expansion and a little more updates with the rooms-this could be a 3 star hotel. The artwork and decor is beautiful!”

• Very clean, comfortable newly renovated. Very good service.
• Location was a couple of blocks off of Riverwalk. Pricy parking.

“Very good value for the price and better quality than what the 2 stars would imply. Highly recommended, when visiting San Antonio!”
