• 99% of the staff provided exceptional service & the bed was incredible.
• Bathroom was extremely small - too small even for NY standards.

“Exceptional service (ice delivery slow though) - the Concierges were wonderful. Room was small, but very nice - bathroom too small. The Silver leaf bar/restaurant is excellent. Pomtini is great, blue point oysters (I ate them 3 of the 4 days we were there) exceptional. Super location - grand central a couple blocks, 5th Ave a couple blocks, Times Square about 4 or 5. Central Park is walking distance.”

• Good service, big TV's in room.
• A/C did not work until we notified staff.

“Good hotel. Nice (though somewhat small) rooms. Big Plasma TV's in room are cool. The staff is very nice and pleasing. Located walking distance from Times Square (10 min. walk).”

• NY times at your doorstep every morning.
• The bathroom was too small and the AC was not cold enough.

“The location is ok. It is really close to Grand Central Station. At night it is relatively quiet. The room was average size for NYC. The bathroom was very small. The hotel staff was very friendly and informative. The air conditioner kept us just cool enough at night but during the day didn't work that well.”

• smoke free room smelled mildly like smoke.

• Staff was very friendly and accommodating
• Had an 08 room which was very small compared to the 09 room that we switched to. Both were Queen rooms.

“We were very impressed from the time we arrived to the time we left. Enjoyed the wine in the late afternoon, the use of the laptops. The staff was very interested in making our stay an enjoyable experience.”

• The location - Park Ave & 38th Street was convenient to mid-town
• Room was miniscule; No A/C; No hot water; No water at all for 1+ day

“I have no idea why this hotel was awarded 4 stars. The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures on the web. Our room was the size of a postage stamp. The 1st night we had a trickle of hot water, by morning, the water stopped altogether. The A/C unit also did not work in our room. We reported this to the front desk and were told that the water would be back on shortly. Finally by 6 pm with still no water, we asked to be moved to another room. We were told we could "use the bathroom" in the room next to us. Finally, they allowed us to move into a different room - which was even smaller than the 1st room (but did have water!). We weren't even offered help to move our bags. There is no coffee or ice readily available (must order from room service w/18% gratuity plus delivery charge). Also BOTH bathroom showers had black mildew; dirty dishes from room service sat in the hallways all day, as did the service carts, vacuum cleaners, etc. I would not stay at this hotel again and I do not believe it should be rated as a 4 star hotel. That rating is not warranted.”

• Location and a nice concierge - great maid service.
• Pretty small room, but that's New York!

“If you're looking for a hotel with no attitude but plenty of class, stroll over to 70 Park Avenue. You can't beat the location and the service actually justifies the cost. A great stay!”
