• Great location, loved the private saltwater lagoon!
• Peeling paint on the bathroom door.

“This is a gorgeous location. Very convenient with nice restaurants all around. I would highly recommend it. The pool, lagoon and view were exceptional.”

• Location.
• Filthy dirty room. Bathroom had mold and rust all over it, room carpet was not clean, paint peeling throughout.

“I would not stay here again unless I knew for sure that the entire hotel had been updated. The room was dirty. The beds were the only things clean in it.”

• Proximity to shops and a very attractive outside area. Very scenic.
• Restaurant prices were too high.

• Rooms were moldy, beds broken down, wallpaper falling off, and carpet old and wet.

“It was the worst room we have ever seen, until we had to pay to be upgraded to a room you could stay in.”

• It's nearby plenty of places to eat and hang out.
• Room was really dark and dingy.

“Room was dark, dingy and in need of a facelift. If you just want a place to crash that's nearby lots of eating and drinking choices, this will do you fine. If you're on business, stay elsewhere.”

• The room was ok but the bed we slept was too bad.

• The hotel was well equipped with amenities and was on the water front. It was a beautiful view.
• The tub was not clean and a piece of soap was left in the room from previous guest.

• Beautiful location over the ocean, newly renovated.
• Still undergoing renovations.

“Ocean view room are stunning, with large balconies and sliding glass doors. Nice granite/marble facilities in the room.”

• Beautiful setting and grounds.
• Room had bad odor and was not updated.

“Our first room at this hotel was poor bad odor and run down. We complained and they moved us to a much better and cleaner room in another tower. Everything else was good. The location is somewhat out of the way if you don't have a car.”

• Given vague directions to room in different bldg.

“Would be a great place to stay in better room. I just needed a place to crash while waiting for the condo I had for the next week. It served the purpose.”

• Location was fantastic.
• "Internet rooms" in bay tower are not fit for human occupancy.

“This hotel plays the internet game. The "internet" rooms are in the outdated bay tower. The "air" barely flowed and was hot, humid. This led to the patch of red mold on the wall that was fuzzy and 2 feet across. After my allergy attack subsided from 1st room, I was able to enjoy my stay in second room. Oh, this hotel charges for everything. Parking, water, even calls to on site extensions!”

• The Lagoon Tower and Mai Tai Bar were great!
• The hotel spa was really old and dirty.

“I would highly recommend the remodeled Lagoon tower! The sheets were silky soft and we loved having air conditioning and a coffee maker. But, the location is the best part; its an easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants!”

• The best location, right on the water, beautiful.
• It is older, but they have it clean so very acceptable.

“This is the best hotel for hanging out in the lobby, bar area and watching the waves. Absolutely gorgeous. I could just sit there and watch the waves and read a book and be happy.”

• The location to the kina shopping district is great. Setting is beautiful and lobby, grounds attractive and well-maintained.
• Rooms are dark and extremely dated in decor; in need of renovation. Balconies connected to adjacent rooms limiting privacy and security.

“The seaside location is spectacular. We only stayed for one night prior to our scheduled stay at a resort, but we enjoyed the location and the breakfast buffet on the open lanai overlooking the bay. Service was good. The rooms are seriously dated, dark and musty. There is potential here for a fine hotel, but renovations of hallways and rooms are badly needed. They were in the process of painting the exterior while we were there.”

• Scenic and the kiddy pool was perfect for toddlers.
• My husband cut foot on broken glass. Chicken bones and bottle caps left under bed and under TV stand.

“Aside from the broken glass that cut my husband's foot, the hotel location convenient and the view was beautiful - up close and just footsteps to the ocean. Perfect spot for sunrise and sunset. However, to compensate for my husband's injury, all we got was a free breakfast for the next day. We weren't offered the luau dinner which took place the evening of my husband incident.”
