• The grounds, ocean view and the buffet breakfast.
• Bathroom needed to be cleaner and updated.

“The hotel is a good value at the Priceline bidded price, but not at the hotel price on your regular site or others. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the view and location, next to restaurants and shops of Kailua Kona. We were in the bay tower. The alii tower has more upgrades, such as flat screen TV.”

• The rooms really were quite nice, especially the beds (very comfortable). Very prompt service from staff.
• No jacuzzi; no conditioner for hair. Security guard was rude.

“Overall, our experience was quite pleasant and our room rate was excellent for the quality of the hotel and surroundings, proximity to Kona town, beaches, etc.”

• The location was good.
• It was decorated from the 70's they had bath towels that didn't match look like they came from grandmas house.

TV and big wood shutters from the 70's as curtains. they charged 10.00 to park your car on there property!not good”

• A little mold in the room around the air conditioning vents.

• Great location. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very friendly staff.
• There is no Jacuzzi.

“Location was ideal. Shopping, food and the beach was a short walk in any direction. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were of average comfort, but very clean. Overall a good stay.”

“It was an older facility but clean. The staff was great. The lobby and ocean side restaurant was beautiful. They are working on updates in this area. I would recommend this hotel.”

• Location was good, staff was friendly, views were nice and the lagoon was perfect. The room was excellent.
• Dining room was not open every night. The one shop had random way overpriced merchandise.

• The setting was beautiful with great views. The location was walking distance from great restaurants and bars.
• The room was a tad bit moldy. My partner is very sensitive too mold. He noticed it. I'm sensitive, but did not notice it.

“This hotel is beautiful & spacious. The rooms were simple but elegant. The whole place is old but charming. The reception area was understaffed, but the personell were friendly & helpful. We would've like to have stayed longer & spent more time just hanging around the hotel on the beach or by the pool. The happy hour drinks are a good deal. The food wasn't great.”

• The location is perfect!
• It smelled of ciggarette smoke and there is no smoking allowed and the light did not work.

“Great location and great view of the ocean. Staff was friendly and helpful and is a great place to stay for people of any age.”

• Great location, loved the private saltwater lagoon!
• Peeling paint on the bathroom door.

“This is a gorgeous location. Very convenient with nice restaurants all around. I would highly recommend it. The pool, lagoon and view were exceptional.”

• Location.
• Filthy dirty room. Bathroom had mold and rust all over it, room carpet was not clean, paint peeling throughout.

“I would not stay here again unless I knew for sure that the entire hotel had been updated. The room was dirty. The beds were the only things clean in it.”
