  • Hotel staff were very friendly.
  • All outdoor hot tubs were shut down and only indoor hot tubs were male/female segregated for $27 a day fee spa fee.

“While the rooms are large enough to be a small suite, it is nothing more than a large room with a bed, desk, and stained couch. The bathroom was small and when we asked about robes they said they had to be purchased since they did not trust the guests to return them. While the staff was quite nice, this hotel is in no way 4* in my opinion.”

  • Easy to get around.
  • Noisy.

“Great place I have stayed before and will return.”

  • Room was very large.
  • Older facility, short on service.

“This is not a 4 star property. Perhaps if you were able to upgrade to the newer tower, it would be acceptable. We were offered an upgrade. That was unacceptable considering it was double what we already paid. Beyond that, the Rio isn't bad. Rooms are large and somewhat clean. They were also very quiet. The casino area is in need of a makeover, though.”

  • Large rooms with a sitting area for a good price.
  • Room key kept not working, had to go get a new one four times.

“Very nice especially for the price. Would expect to pay a lot more for a room that nice in Vegas.”

  • Very noisy on the floor I stayed on.

“I have stayed here before and it seems the hotel is in need of some renovation.”

  • Like the size of the rooms.
  • Stayed here before. Every time we come back it's worse. Looks like they are trying to cut back & it shows.

“This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Rio - every time we stay there it goes down in quality. We will not be back again. You can see that they are cutting back on services. I spent 2 days at the pool 6 hours each day not once did a server come by. We were promised an early check-in didn't get it. Told to stand in the wrong line to check-in a 2nd time - 1 1/2 hours later they say oh you were in the wrong line, yeah the one your employee told me I had to stand in. Only found one place that we wanted to eat at there.”

  • Nice facilities, but you can still improve it.
  • The bathtub. Old facets you need to improve it.

“Nice Hotel, Nice facilities, nice people working for you.”

  • The rooms were big. Our view was wonderful.
  • The food was horrible.

“The Rio is not a family hotel. My daughter is 19 so I wasn't embarrassed by the ladies dancing in the sky show that happens at this hotel. The hotel does a pretty good job with pulling the smoke out of the air quickly. You still smell it and it does get on your clothes but you don't see it. You're not walking through a fog of smoke. My room was very clean.”

  • The room is very attractive and spacious. We really enjoyed the stay!

“The suite is nicely decorated, and equipped with many amenities for travellers. We loved it!”

  • Great location. Off the busy strip but totally close enough to be enjoyable due to excellent shuttle service.
  • Pool hours too short, lifeguard short staffed. Had to wait one hour for pool to open.

“Great hotel. Had a real good stay. Would highly recommend.”

  • Large Room, comfortable furnishings and bed.

“Very nice accommodations, particularly given the price for the room and the available amenities.”

  • It was uncrowded, no reason to venture out!
  • Wish it had flat screen TVs

“For the price I paid it was an Incredible Deal! A quality hotel at a motel 6 price!”

  • Friendly staff.
  • Location & confusing layout.

“Excellent stay, great value for your money. If you plan on fine dining, expect to spend some money. Only other choice is the cafe with very reasonable prices and a lot of food. Sea food buffet is not recommended due to very high price ($40 per person) and too much ordinary sea food selections.”

  • I enjoyed the hotel. Room has plenty of space, clean.
  • Wish its closer to the strip.

“I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I like the huge space and the cleanliness of it. The employees were very helpful.”

  • Nice pools and grounds.
  • Smoking in the casino but that is Vegas.

“We stayed in the Ipanema Tower and had a remodeled room. Very nice pool facilities. The Rio buffet offers multiple ethnic choices at reasonable prices.”

“Clean and comfortable, but noisy and very bad restaurant hours.”

  • Room, food and
    overall experience.
  • Pay for wireless internet!

“Very good stay; except for the wireless internet, which
I thought would be free.
I think it should be free!”

  • The room service was quick and reasonably priced.
  • The valet service was very slow.

“This is not the first time that I have stayed at the Rio, and all of my experiences have been good. I will definitely be staying at the Rio again.”

  • Outdated and many things didn't work. Old property which is not kept-up.

“Not a very convenient location. Water was completely shutoff for several hours and I was not informed of this planned water outage. Room decor was tired and old. Layout of property is not good.”
