• The staff attempted to get the items. Large table and comfy chairs in the rooms.
• Always out of pillows, blankets, Disneyland Tickets, dirty tub.

“However this Garden Grove location has a lot of work to do, if it wants to compare with other Candlewood Inn and Suites in this country. If you plan on naming your own price and you need two beds, be very wary of this hotel. One disgusting pull out bed with a three inch thick mattress and about one thousand springs. This applies even if you enter 3 or more guests as a prerequisite. Also, bring a blanket, the AC doesnt work so well and the hotel is always short on bedding. No roll out beds is allowed. There is an adequate cup of free coffee to start you day, high speed internet and a convenience store a two minute walk from your room door.”

“The room we got only had one queen bed. The cost for a rollaway bed makes it more than a nicer hotel. Room was dirty; there was a gigantic burger on the ceiling.”

• For just a couple it was ok, for family it was not.
• No pool or spa, nothing for children do not recommend for families.

“For a couple that just wants to sleep it was nice but for a family unit it just didn't have any of the things a family would want to do, No pool, no spa, nothing there for children. Ok for older people. Rate were fair but to upgrade to just a couch and bed was 30 dollars more. They had no rooms with two beds, just a very small couch and 1 queen bed. If you have more than one child hope you like sleeping on the floor. Kitchen was set up for only two people. 2 plates, 2 forks, 2 knives, we had a grandchild with us. So we ended up eating out. That's not what we had originally plan.”

• Full kitchen and large table were very helpful.
• The bathroom was for handicapped and not as easy to use as non-handicapped rooms. The TV in the sitting room and the phone didn't work.

“The hotel was a very comfortable and convenient for everything we wanted to do. We couldn't get help with the phone or the TV which didn't work. There were no extra pillows available.”

• Nice to have a kitchen.
• Only towels for 1 and would have liked a couch.

“Not bad for the quick overnight traveler, or for business. Not the best for children as they did not have enough room in the room, and not enough towels for more than 1. Would not consider if more than 2 people traveling.”

• The room has kitchen and microwave; the snack room has the guest honor system!
• Housekeeping only comes once a week, no double bed rooms.

“Great values! The Candlewood Cupboard (snack room) is stocked with great fresh and frozen foods and it operates under the Guest Honor System. We write up our own bill each time we make a purchase, which is charged to the room total bill, and we do not need cash at time of purchase. It offers free laundry (washer and dryer). It also offers free DVD rental service featuring the latest hits. The only complaints I have is that it did not offer double bed and housekeeper only comes once a week (or after check-out). Luckily, it allows change of towels and linens if guests bring them to the front desk. The room has a kitchen with stove, dishwasher and microwave. There's a small fitness room and free laundry room as well. There is no swimming pool or restaurant. This is good for a couple. If you have friends coming along, make sure you have a travel sleeping bag or something as you won't get a double bed room.”

• Noise from I-22 may be a distraction to children waiting to go to Disneyland.

• I liked the cup something that you con buy special things and they had washing and dry machines for free.
• My room had a strong cigarette smell that was uncomfortable and they charge at the bill thing that I didn't spend at the cup something.

• Bad area. Dirty. Phone broken, fridge broken, thermostat broken. Seedy neighborhood.

“Poorly located for a Disney area hotel. We arrived and the phone, thermostat, and fridge were all broken. Bad smell in the room. Bad neighborhood. 1 star hotel at best.”

“Aside from the room being disgusting (not cleaned well-hair in the bathroom and on the kitchen counter), we were put into a room right next to a room that was under construction. We got a 9 am wake up call that we didn't ask for. We were more upset that we were never told this upon checking into the hotel. The hotel didn't care about us at all as guests. I wouldn't stay there again.”

• Hotel staff did not acknowledge at check in, did not walk bed sheets to room, we had to retrieve ourselves, and no double bed option?

• The kitchen in the room and the recliner.
• No pool.

“This hotel is really great for families traveling to Disneyland. The suite was spacious and the kitchen allowed us to eat in one night and save over $40. The only downside was that the shuttle took almost 30 minutes to get us back from Disneyland. Other than that, everything was great.”

• It was fairly new, cute, reasonably priced, clean and next to store.
• Not many or any rooms with 2 beds since we have one child.

“This hotel is reasonable in price and provides a comfortable stay. It is clean and decent. The gym and mini store are an added convenience.”

• The cupboard was convenient.

“I was not happy with the size of the room. Myself, my husband and our 3 kids all had to sleep in the bed. The hotel had air mattresses, but they were all checked out. I had the worst night sleep ever, as I had my kids laying on top of me the whole night.”
