• The staff was very helpful and polite, our room was perfect.
• Although the room was clean there was a little water damage on our wall, but no big deal.

• Location near Hershey park.

  seemed to be dirty.

hotel and certainly did not favorably compare to other 3 star
hotels. Decor was dated and shabby, room seemed dirty, just not quite up to par.”

• Dirty Rooms.

“Extremly dirty hotel. Sheets had stains, hair on pillows and blanket, toe nail clippings on floor, candy wrappers in the corner, rude housekeeping, and front staff that really didn't care. After seeing 3 different dirty hotel rooms we checked out and left to go to the crown plaza.”

• pool needed repair in places; shower in our room did too

“A few places needed repair and updating like the pool. This was a bigger hotel suited for both families and business travelers. So the pool was large but often crowded. Free internet in lobby was often busy, too. But, overall a nice place with nice public areas and a decent restaurant with room service. More pros than cons here.”

• The bathroom was falling apart. Moldy tile, loose fixtures, and no ventilation.

“The lobby area was fantastic. Plenty of computers set up for business travelers. Very clean and modern. The restaurant on site was high class, offering a nice variety and had extended hours. The room was comfortable with a flat screen TV (around 50" or so).”

• The indoor pool was very nice.

“The first room they gave me was a broken down mess that smelled moldy. The front desk lady was very nice and after some struggle to find a better room, did move me to a much nicer space. It did have free internet connection, free parking and they gave you a bottle of water and snacks when you checked in.”

• Very friendly staff and rooms were clean.
• The pool looked old.

“Nice Hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was about 10 miles from Hershey Park. I traveled with my husband and 2 boy (aged 5 and 6), the pool was not great and looked old. However the kids couldn't get enough of it. Overall the kids had a great time!”

“The Jacuzzi says you have to be 18 to be in it! However there was 7-13yr olds in it and there was no room for the adults! I told a desk clerk and he did nothing about it! It was ridiculous, the hotel was suppose to be relaxing and it was not due to this factor!”

• Inexpensive.
• Not convenient to downtown.

“I was frankly disappointed with the location of this hotel and with other aspects. It is five miles outside of downtown Harrisburg. Its layout is such that the rooms are a substantial walk away. The room itself was clean but the 'free' internet connection was slow (they offered an upgrade for a fee); one of the bedside lamps was broken (the switch did not work); and the HVAC was extremely loud and would cycle on and off with a loud clunk every 20 minutes or so. The restaurant offered a pleasant atmosphere but the food was poor. I had an open faced meatloaf sandwich that was dry to the point that even with gravy it was difficult to eat. Another diner in our group had chicken that was rubbery and undercooked. Another got a lamp appetizer that he reported was good. In all, I'll look elsewhere next time I'm in Harrisburg.”
