• Staff was unhelpful.

“ This hotel was great for the price but would not pay full price. Bedding was very lumpy but comfy. Free internet access was a plus and The Weber Grill dining smelled great every night. Room warmed quickly after a bitter night walking. ”

• Very clean with friendly staff. Close to navy pier.
• The other side of the river from down town.

“Wonderful hotel. Very comfortable room with helpful staff. Red Line Train is outside front door. Very close to Navy Pier. North side of the river so not as close to some things as some may like.”

• Great location - close to subway. Clean, comfortable rooms. Helpful friendly staff.
• $4.95 for a bottle of water in the room.

“Hotel was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with maps, directions and recommendations. I think the price we paid through Priceline was very good. I would not hesitate to come back to the same hotel.”

“The hotel was in a great location located next to the Red Line. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and asked me what why we were visiting Chicago. The weber grill did not have the greatest service that evening we went and it was overpriced for soggy fries.”

• The location was great in Chicago for shopping and dining.
• The pillows were not firm and the sheets were scratchy. Just very uncomfortable to sleep in. I just could not get comfortable.

“This hotel was very basic, but very clean and in a good location. It was convenient to the Weber Grill as we had reservation there with friends the next day.”

• I thought the hotel was absolutely Awesome! I'll definitely be staying there again in the future.
• The bottled water was $5.

“I had read some other reviews about the Hilton Gardens Inn that weren't exactly positive. I did not have any negative experiences with this hotel at all. The staff was friendly & helpful; the noise from outside was minimal at worst; the hotel was clean & my room was better than I could expect for the price I paid. It was an overall wonderful experience & I would recommend this hotel to everyone.”

• Location.
• The comforter on the bed is too hot and too heavy.

“ Everything was great except for the bedding. Too hot and heavy. I had to call the desk in the middle of the night for a blanket. A heavy down comforter is uncomfortable except in the dead of winter. ”

• Location to area attractions and the train station was perfect.
• The pool area was not as big as the pictures led me to believe.

• I did not like the construction work in front of the hotel.

• The staff was extremely helpful and courteous.
• The elevators didn't work for a couple of days.

“ Overall, I thought this was a very nice hotel. Rooms was clean, staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The restaurant was a bit pricey but the food was very good. The only problem we had was that the elevators didn't work for a couple of the days were there so we had to use the service elevator which was very slow and overcrowded since we were all using one elevator instead of three. ”
