• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was convenient and the bed was very comfortable.
• It was difficult to regulate the temperature of the room.

“The hotel was conveniently located along the freeway, but not too noisy. The room was very nice - bed was king bed was much more comfortable than most hotel beds. The bathroom was large and had a separate vanity, which was convenient for a family. The staff was very helpful with directions followed through with our requests.”

• The staff was friendly, and helpful. The shuttle to Leggoland was very nice.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff was helpful and friendly. We were traveling with our kids to Leggoland and the beach, great location to both. And the hotel offer a free shuttle, with a friendly driver Charles that made it very easy getting back and forth. Starting the day with a breakfast buffett that was perfect and finishing with a swim in the pool. We had a great time.”

• All rooms were NON smoking, room size was large, and bed was extremely comfortable.
• Staff could have been more courteous, kids were crank calling our hotel room--annoying.

“Beautiful, convenient, clean. Beds were amazingly comfortable, and room was roomy-not crowded. Local attractions, beaches, restaurants-nearby.”

• Looks.
• When I checked out, the receptionist didn't answer for about 5 minutes, then she made me wait while she answered the phone several times. Rude.

• I liked the size of the rooms and the cleanliness of the hotel overall, the pool area was great.
• I didn't feel that the person who checked us in was very friendly and didn't listen to our needs.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel is was in a great location and was clean. The staff was helpful and we did get the help we needed. I would recommend this hotel for families to stay in the rooms were large and roomy and the pool was great. I liked that it had a half kitchen. It was close to all attractions in the Carlsbad area, close to beaches and Lego Land.”

• Our room happened to be adjacent to the ice machine/washer/dryer.

• Nice large suite, with kitchen. Really clean.
• Nothing!

“Perfect location if you are going to Legoland and close to the beach. They had a nice continental breakfast and our room was large, clean and had a kitchen and a very large bathroom. Perfect family room, nice warm pool. We were really happy with our stay and would return again.”

• Kitchenette, spacious dressing and bathroom were nice.
• No balconies or patios.

“Near Carlsbad Village and Old Encinitas restaurants. It is walking distance to the beach.”

• Clean large room.
• Poorly trained staff, not at all helpful. Actually gave me a second key without asking my name or for identification.

“The hotel seemed to be understaffed at the front desk. After checking in I asked for some restaurant information and he said they didn't have any, and offered directions to some fast food places in the area. Later I found a stack of restaurant guides in the business center. Then I realized I locked myself out of my room with a couple more bags still in the room. I asked the girl for another key and she just asked for what room and gave me a key. She didn't ask for my name or identification, pretty scary. She wasn't wearing a name tag and no manager was on duty.”
