• Pool was nice.
• Driving to and from is a nightmare.

“Decent. If you don't have a car you're screwed. If you have a car, you're a little less screwed, but screwed nonetheless. The typical La Quinta breakfast waffles are nice, though.”

• No complaints.

“This is the second hotel we stayed on this road trip, it was a great improvement over the first one. In the future this hotel would be on the top of our list.”

• Friendly and very clean, polite personal.
• Location, too hard to find, and the noise.

“We stayed at the hotel because we had a death in the family, and the floor we were on was very noisy until almost 2AM with kids running up and down the hallway. We found out that we were at the end room of a floor occupied by a party of teens from some school. I feel we could have been put in a better location. We only stayed one night, so it was only for that one night. We have stayed in LaQuinta hotels before and never had a problem. We hope this is an isolated experience.”

• Large refurbished room. Nice linens.
• LAX security - Not all of multiple entrances remain locked.

“Nice Indoor pool with a hot tub. Fitness room (Treadmill, elliptical and stationary bike only), and good breakfast.”

“I was very surprised of the quality of this hotel. I usually stay away from Clifton when visiting because of my experience with the hotel across the street. This will be my hotel of choice from now on.”

• Everything in this hotel is great. Cleanliness, hotel staff attentiveness, break fast, etc.
• Nothing.

“Hotel was located close to the highway. Reception was good. It has cool features like pool, fitness and wireless internet connection. Room was pretty clean. I liked the stay in this hotel and I recommend this hotel.”

• It was clean, bathrooms were nice, and beds were comfy.
• Slow, confused service in the restaurant.

“It was simply nice. It was not the focus of the trip - but it wasn't supposed to be. It put a slightly positive spin on the trip and that's great for a hotel.”

• Phone didn't work, hotel staff never fixed even though told at least twice.

“The breakfast buffet was very good. The room was clean. There were 2 phones in the room of which neither worked. I called the hotel on my cell phone and was told it would be fixed and that they would call me back or visit the room personally. This never happened.”

• I liked the fact that it was so close to the bus station and it was very easy to go into the city, which is what my boyfriend and I planned on doing.
• The front of the hotel looked very nice and the back part of the hotel looked dirty and run down. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. Gross.

“It was perfect for what we were looking for, it had a great location, very good continental breakfast (clean), good sized rooms, wireless network, AC's worked well. The only negative thing I can really think of is that it smelled like cigarette smoke in the hallways, but our room did not. Thank god. Overall, perfect place if your looking to spend a couple nights in a convenient location.”

• The location was pretty good.
• 1st room wasn't that great, second room was much better.

“This hotel was OK. I have been to other 1 star hotels that was much better. It served its purpose.”

• The pool. The kids had so much fun.
• It was a little noisy. We had neighbors who left at all hours of the night, slamming their door and we had to ask for extra towels, every day.

“The hotel was a good place to rest your head. The hotel is old, but it's kept clean. The staff is very friendly. The pool is very clean. The workout room was old and the equipment didn't have all the pieces. There is also a sauna, which we did not get to use. It's easy access from Route 3 and shopping not too far away. Our overall stay was a pleasant experience.”

“This was a convenient, clean and reasonably priced hotel. My grandson liked the pool and game room and there was no problem getting a roll-away bed for him.”

“They did not clean the floor, did not leave the necessary towels, shower was mal functioning. I had to go home one night earlier and tried to check out from my house, they insisted that I bring the keys back to their front to check out. The bed was warped.”

• Centrally located
• Needs to be renovated

“The wireless internet did not work the entire week we were there so we had to use dial up and the menu for renting movies worked once in a while. Our room was in the middle of a youth baseball team that was there. I think their rooms should have been together since the noise went on until 1:00am and 4:00am and we had to call the front desk. We were not the only room complaining.”

• The Elevators are in need of repair. The doors kept banging and jolted sharply!
