• The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.
• No free continental breakfast.

“What I liked about the hotel is the convenience, location and the overall willingness of the staff to help. We were traveling from Maine to NY and my daughter left her favorite bandana in the room. When we called housekeeping to ask if they had found it, they offered to send it to us.”

• Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom.
• Room service not available until 7am.

“This hotel met my expectations of a clean, comfortable, easy overnight stay while passing through town. Unfortunately, on-site breakfast was not available until 7am, meaning I had to scavenge for something to eat in the morning. Luckily, there was a Dunkin' Donuts just down the street. The staff was friendly and I felt fully satisfied with the experience.”

• Out of coffee during the day, pool broken.

“The location was good. The hotel was definitely not worth the money! Pool was broken and I couldn't get coffee from the lobby during the afternoon.”

• The bed was hard. Not like my bed back home.

• Convenient to highway, and kids eat free.
• No fridge in room.

“Nice hotel. Will try for double queen size beds next time. Needs a small fridge in rooms though. Room service was quick and everyone we spoke to in the lobby or the restaurant were friendly, other than hostess in Ground Round.”

“A very good nights stay. The room was clean and modern. High-speed wireless access was free and easy to use. Just dont eat in the restaurant attached next door (ground round). They had the worst customer service and the food really was at fast food level at best. But the hotel itself was great. Good food can be found across the street.”

• For a 2-star hotel the room small and not very clean.

“Room was small and the bathroom was not very clean (mirrors, vanity top, and toilet). The water from the shower collected at the top of the bathtub and leaked onto the floor. The bathroom sink had a small amount of water seeping out from the bottom of the vanity. The bathroom definitely needed an upgrade.”

• Convenient location for our trip, complimentary coffee, attached restaurant was very good, bed was great.
• The room was a bit small, but satisfactory for us.

• The bed was absolutely wonderful. Pillow top King. Just perfect.
• We liked everything.

“Great location, personable and friendly staff, very clean rooms with a wonderful bed made our stay more than we could have expected. There were also many stores and restaurants in the immediate area. Try venturing down Rt.27 south into Halliwell and visit the local shops and stores. It's beautiful.”

• The hominess of the room and the exercise facility.
• They no longer give a breakfast certificate for each night stay.

“I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have been satisfied each time with the condition and the staff. I would stay here each time I stay in Augusta.”

• Convenient to highway and shopping, clean and staff was friendly.
• Walls are way too thin! I only had one good night sleep.

“Hotel was very clean, convenient and the staff was great. The people that stayed in the room next to mine was another story. I only had one good night sleep during my stay the others I either had to listen to the people next door or to the dogs barking because the next person that checked into that room left them alone. I will say that the hotel staff was prompt in trying to rectify the situation.”

“The location and comfort of this hotel was very good. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The attached restaraunt was excellent, and the kids ate for free. I highly reccomend this facility.”

“The hotel was very adequate for our needs. There was a rock concert next door to the hotel that night and the hotel staff was stopping cars at the entrance to make sure they were actual guests. I was impressed with that.”

“Our 2 night stay at the Augusta, ME Holiday Inn was better than we ever expected! It's located a walking distance from the Augusta Civic Center and across the street from a booming plaza. We had 2 meals at the Ground Round Restaurant connected to the Inn.”
