  • Great beach, loved having a kitchen and washer/dryer, great staff.
  • The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. We had a water leak in the living room.

“The grounds are stunning. The staff is wonderful. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the shower. Also, the carpet was wet around the sliding glass door. They did put a de-humidifier near the area to help with the smell. Overall, we loved the resort and would
definitely stay here again.”

  • It has a very large property with plenty of aminities.
  • Because the property is so large, you have to drive to your quaters.

“This hotel was very nice and clean. The amenities are great. The only thing we did not like is the 11:00 am checkout (a little early if you want to sleep in) and restricted access to the beach.”

  • Spacious room.
  • I was charged a 20 dollar resort fee per day, no beach access.

“I was not allowed to use the beach, only people on the beach side of the hotel were allowed to use the beach. I was charged a 20 per day resort fee.”

  • Nice kitchen.
  • The $19.75 resort fee at check out.

“We were there on a Monday before the high season. When checked in, we were suggested to dine in their two restaurants in our villa side, which were actually both closed. The biggest disappointment came at check out when we were charged $19.75 resort. The staff explained that covers for the use of pool and shuttle services, and even we didn't use either service, we still need to pay. This is a fee that we didn't know when we check in, and I still have trouble finding the fine print on the website. The discussion of this fee pretty much killed our vacation mood.”

  • Hotel room.
  • Additional resort fee we found out about on the way out. The bill was left under the door which I find to be unprofessional.

“Not bad hotel but I found the person performing check in to be unfriendly. No housekeeping the first day. We had to call and request it. When we checked in my wife found dirty towel in the bathroom and hair in the bathtub. At the check in we were not told about additional resort fee that would be charged to our credit card. We found the bill under the door on the way out. Who does it? What kind of customer service is this? I am sure we will not go back to this place.”

  • I liked that the room had it's own small kitchen and separate living room area.

“The Village was a moderate condo-like room with a separate kitchen and living room. The bedroom was average. The bathroom was also average. The registration area for the Villages was nice but the staff was not that helpful. The fitness area is nice it has a tennis court, in-door out-door pool. You can't get access to the private beach because it is only for guests staying on the Mansion side. The golf course seemed very well maintained and so did the grounds. It is set in a very nice area and the Town of Brewster is charming and there are other little towns close by that are great to explore. If you want to eat at the Mansion side they will allow you to do so. The resort also charges an additional $18.00 resort fee and a $4.00 parking fee. There was also tax added.”

“Most of the hotel ammenities were closed and the staff was underinformed.”

“The room was very spacious, with a bedroom and a living space + kitchen + a terrace overlooking the golf course. Everything was very clean and service was perfect.”

  • Location, ambiance, cleanliness, updated rooms.
  • Restaurants were very pricey for what was served.

“Excellent location and value. We had a one bedroom villa. Wonderfully decorated with many perks (i.e. flat screen TV, small kitchen, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, hi-speed internet, etc.) Our villa was not on the main campus, but shuttle was available every 15 minutes just outside our door. Beach was beautiful. Restaurants were nice, but very pricey. Conveniently located to many cape attractions, but out of the way of the "rat race." would highly recommend. I will be staying there again.”

  • The staff was very friendly and nice to my kids.
  • It is too spread out. Our room was approximately 1 1/2 miles from main lobby.

“Ocean Edge is a nice resort with indoor pools, work out facilities and an excellent golf course. The staff is very friendly and nice to kids. The main area consists of a beautiful restored mansion overlooking the bay. The hotel offers a lot of programs and activities for kids during the summer but we stayed there in October and, although the weather was nice, there was not much on site to do. The rooms are spacious one bedroom condominium apartments with a kitchen, balcony, and pull out sofa for the kids.”

  • Spacious room.
  • Too big, none of the activities were available as it was off season.

“This resort was nice, had spacious rooms, and seemed like it would be great to go to in the summer, but it is not for everyone. Unfortunately, we arrived in the fall, and almost everything that makes this a resort, all the activities etc were unavailable. Also the resort was HUGE, we were literally a few miles from the main mansion and the beach. Also, I was surprised the resort didn't have more character. The grounds and the mansion were lovely, but for the most part I didn't feel there was anything all that special about it. I have stayed at many nice bed & breakfasts on Cape Cod, and personally would much rather stay at one of them then go to the Ocean Edge Resort again. They are not only more charming and personal, but they are cheaper too.”

  • The location is very good to a variety of points in Cape Cod. The setting is very attractive.
  • There was a quality of disorganization throughout our stay.

“I always look forward to my stays at Ocean Edge. They took over an hour to check in. We were given a villa that was actually occupied a man sleeping while we tried to enter our room. The food in the mansion was extremely sub par. I felt that the staff began not to be as helpful.”

  • Staff was apologetic for screw ups and upgraded us.
  • Clearly are trying to get it right, but staff misses the mark.

“Staff does a poor job educating you on amenities. We had no idea that on a Sunday night we would need reservations to eat in their main dining room, so we ended up eating in their pub on our anniversary. They apologized and gave us our dessert for free. Again, a nice gesture, but why not educate us from the get go and I would have made plans to go elsewhere. Topping off the experience was the constant knocking at our door at 6:45 am, room service with the wrong room number.”

  • Beautiful location, beautiful facilities.
  • Broken elevator was not fixed for the entire time I was there, I have problems walking at that was difficult. Room reservation had been mixed up.

“Hotel staff were friendly and always asking if they could assist you. The mansion was a dream. The water view was beautiful. It was like being in paradise. I was feeling like this was home and I was special. I also loved the pub.”
