• It is conveniently located to the mall.
• The staff was very rude and un-helpful. I had an extremely unpleasant stay.

“Terrible experience, the staff was sloppily dressed, rude, and unhelpful. I almost thought that I was being plunked it was so cliche' roadside inn.”

“Perfect for somebody traveling solo on business. Many nice features in the room. The hotel itself was quite simple and wouldn't necessarily draw me back.”

• The room was very clean. It was great having a kitchen, we didn't have to spend money on breakfast, we brought our own.
• The rugs in the lobby and hallways were stained and dirty.

“Well, our room was clean, but walking the hallways to the room there were stains on the rugs and they looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a while, and I had my doubts. But the room was fine, the bed comfy, the sheets and bathroom clean. Not exactly luxurious or romantic, but definitely clean enough to not make you doubt if you should be there. I liked having a kitchen to make our breakfast.”

• Proximity to airport (PWM).
• No front desk services after 11 PM.

“A convenient hotel to the airport in Portland, Maine. (I needed to stay near the airport for an early-morning flight.) Motel room was typical economy room, although it did have small kitchen. Room was clean; easily accessible from the parking lot and lobby. The front desk clerk was friendly and I had no problem with check-in. Plenty of parking. Also located near mall and shopping. Would stay again for sake of convenience to airport, and price.”

• Clean, big room with a kitchen.
• They had no crib.

“We got room with 1 queen bed for 2 adults, one child and a baby and they had no crib. We spend the night on the floor. Otherwise the room was big and very clean.”

• Close to shopping area.
• Fridge in our room froze and ruined my infants medication. Extremely frustrated.

“I was very upset that I put my infants medication in the fridge and it froze. It ruined it and we had to wait 3 days to get him a new batch. The hotel was not exceptionally clean either.”

• Convenient location and internet access.
• No shampoo in the rooms (you had to ask at the front desk).

“The hotel was convenient for traveling around the Portland, ME area. Scarborough, ME is a nice, quiet, affordable alternative to staying in down town Portland. It was easy to find shopping and restaurants and the staff was friendly - along with the locals!”

• They closed at 11pm I arrived at 1130pm.
• Their emergency phone did not work.

“We arrived in Portland at 22.50, got lost and called the hotel no answer. We drove around 30 minutes before we finally found it. It was 23.30 and they were locked upped tight. They had an Emergency phone in the Foyer so we called all the numbers, it was not functioning correctly. All we got was beep. I could hear the phone ringing at the desk. Thank God we were not locked out of our room (if we had one) we would not have gotten back in. I have stayed in other ESA and they did not close at 23.00.”

“The hotel is convenient with the kitchen in room. It's close to the old orchard beach and Portland. But if you want a beach view hotel/motel, there are more choices out there that is better than this one. But you just need a place to sleep, this one is quite and convenient to everywhere closed by.”

• The hotel was nice, simple and quiet. Good for a family.
• The room need to be more clean. Drain in tub clogged.

“We stayed at the hotel from August 11, 2008 to August 14 2008. The hotel was nice and quiet and staff was very friendly. The room could have been cleaner. The drain in the tub was clogged. Two of the four washing machines in the laundry room were broken and not working. Would probably stay again.”

“A great kitchen area if I were staying longer. Not much closet space but with airlines limiting luggage who carries a lot of clothes anymore. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The room smelled like stale smoke, gym shoes and dogs.

“Do not stay at this hotel if you are looking for a clean smelling, comfortable room. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were old and not very helpful. The room did not smell good. The soap was so stale it fell apart when you opened the package.”

• Unstocked kitchen with forks and glasses.

“I thought the staff was more than friendly. As a traveler you have to go to the front desk for all your needs. Their was a small kitchen stocked with two pans, plates, mugs but only had one fork and one glass. I would say that was very disappointing. No extras are given but the staff was more than willing to attend to your needs if available. I would go back but would be much more prepared.”
