• The hotel is only minute to Maine beaches

“Employees very friendly. Provide upgrade without us asking. Responded to our request for extra towels within minutes. Would recommend the hotel.”

• Location, location.
• No Microwave or fridge in room.

“Rooms were clean and quiet, the bed was comfy but the room seemed dated and the with a view of a parking lot. The pool area was clean and well kept. The hotel would not honor my hotel points card, which was disappointing.”

• Clean and I relaxed in the tub. Bubble bath would have been nice.
• People going by the room around 12 AM or 1 talked real loud.

“Wasn't there long enough to know what was around but the room was clean and it seemed like there could be a things to do in walking distance. Would of like to have gone into the book store.”

• Spacious room nicely maintained.
• No lobby. Common area/dining by pool.

“This inn is in the center of Downtown Dover. Although filled to capacity, the hotel and surrounding area was quiet. Extended continental breakfast was complimentary although seating was limited. Grounds were clean. The hotel staff was always helpful. The common areas are cramped due to location and layout of the buildings. Room was comfortable.”

• Location is ideal due to closeness to highways. I have a walking disability and they switched my room from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor.
• Toilet was to low. Have severe arthritis in both knees and hip besides a bad back. Would like to see higher grab bars in shower and a bath mat in tub.

“Hotel is very nice and clean. Located in downtown Dover and near restaurants and shopping. Staff is very accommodating.”

“The hotel is in a great location. Was a little less quality than would have expected from the star level. Staff was friendly and stay was fine, just not what was expecting.”

• Close to our sport venue.
• Smelly room--they put a carpet scent on to disguise smells and it made breathing hard. This is an old motel-style place with unfriendly people.

“Odors and lack of cleanliness are attempted to be disguised by carpet scented chemical. Dirty pool at hotel and free breakfast was a no way!”

• Smelled like cig smoke.

“I stayed in an executive apartment for Sy Patricks Day. It was nice and clean and convenient. The room smelled of cig smoke and I had asked for a non smoking room. I would stay there again.”

• Did not have over priced vending machines, but sold soda at low cost at front desk.
• Public transportation relatively unavailable from hotel on weekends.

“The hotel is centrally located in Dover, close to the Amtrak Station. There are many quality restaurants within walking distance in the historic downtown area. I thought the decor was very well suited to the surrounding area, adding to the peacefulness of the town. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I look forward to staying there again the next time I am in the area.”

• I liked nothing about this motel.
• My room should of been used for storing boxes.

“I was given a room with a large generator located on the outside of one of the walls. The generator only shut off for ten minutes every hour. The remaining 50 minutes my room had this loud noise from the generator being on. I complained time after time without success. I asked for a different room and was told none were available. It was a sleepless night and one I will never forget.”

• The pool was very fun and large; especially the hot tub was very warm.
• The manager wasn't very friendly, I felt she was a bit snappy, and the AC was making strange noises, where I didn't get sleep.

“I think I didn't have a room with an AC that doesn't squeak every 5 minutes where even with earplugs in I couldn't' sleep at all, and a manager that I couldn't complain to because she was unapproachable, but other than that it was a good hotel.”

• There is a hot tub - the only possible reason.
• The hotel staff were not friendly at all, the room was absolutely terrible.

“If you are looking for a very cheap 2 star hotel (with 1 or 2 star service) that is relatively clean, then stay here. Else, move on.”

“Very nice staff, quiet, comfortable, and in a nice area. A little pricey for that time of year but would go back and pay the same. Convenient for downtown historic Dover.”

• Location, cleanliness, staff friendliness.
• There is not much I didn't like.

“The hotel was in a very convenient location and next to many attractions, restaurants, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well kept. The pool was a nice addition. Overall just a great value for the money!”

• This hotel was clean, staff were very helpful. The pool and hottub were small but very well maintained and a welcome relief on a hot July day.

• the room had all new furniture, and hotel had a very good breakfest.
• room was rather small
