“This place would be 5 star if the rooms were renovated. Best hotel fitness center I've seen.”

“The hotel was fine. The rooms were large and comfortable. The desk and furniture tops showed significant wear. The only downside of the hotel was getting to and from it from US-1. The driving was stressful at best.”

“Female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure. We attended a family wedding last weekend and had the misfortune to stay at the Sheraton Ferncroft. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. No hot water for two days, had to shower in cold water before wedding. When we called about the problem we were told to let it run because no one else has complained, even though we had already let the water run for 20 minutes and were late for the wedding. Room telephones were broken and neither operator nor front desk would tell people. Smoke detectors were out of the walls in rooms. A couple of our rooms did not get cleaned for two days. The breakfast buffet is $15 and if you try to order off the menu instead, they tell you it will take a long time (and it did 45 minutes to get two scrambled eggs). It cost $20 just to go to the pool and the water was too cold for kids to swim. The place is dirty and everything is old and beaten up. But the worst thing was the way we were treated. Everyone was rude and no one could answer questions or provide assistance. We had family members attending the wedding from all over the country and we met for a drink in the bar on Friday night. We were told that the bar closed at 12:30. We were chased from the bar 10 minutes after ordering a drink at last call by 2 local police officers and a security guard who stood in the bar until we left drinks not finished. In addition, two wedding guests had their cars broken into in the parking lot. The police reports show almost 50 cars broken into in the first 9 months of 2009. Do yourself a favor and do not stay at the Sheraton Ferncroft!”

“Internet was only available in the lobby. There were 4 pc's always loaded with kids, as this is adjacent to a water park. Should have had internet access for my laptop in the room, not just on the TV for a price. One reason that I selected this hotel was the hot tub and indoor swimming pool. There was some type of hot water leak and a sign told how the hot tub had no hot water, tiles were removed from the ceiling and towels lined the leaky area.”

“Good for business travelers, i.e. spacious room with desk, access to Internet hookup. Also good for families, i.e. water park and arcade located in hotel also has spa and sports complex.”

“Hotel failed to secure door after leaving room on a number of occasions, even after speaking with hotel staff about this. Hotel did not use regular bed sheets, very uncomfortable paper sheets. Signs that Hotel either does not know how to clean a room, or just doesn't clean a room. Not very happy with experience.”

“For a quick 2 night stay, this hotel was perfect. I would have liked a continental breakfast included for convenience but at least they had a Starbucks.”

“The Hotel itself is a good stay, but if you are going to stay there to see sights and don't want to drive, they are not very helpful.”

“Excellent accommodations, extremely clean and friendly staff. One of the most comfortable beds (and pillows) we have ever slept on; sounds a little over the top but it's true. Breakfast and Coctails in the lounge were an unexpected treat.”

“We had a bit of a hard time finding this hotel and to be honest, I had very low expectations. I was very happily surprised. The room was clean, large and cozy. The bed was very comfortable.”

“The hotel at one point in time was one of the better hotels in Massachusetts. It is massively in need of a makeover at this point. From room numbers that were handwritten on the walls in Sharpie to small plastic drinking cups inside the room, everything was substandard to the average. Additionally, if there was anything I needed, the bellman was more than willing to take care of it. I was hosting folks in my rooms prior to a wedding reception at the hotel and the bellman brought glassware from the main bar and a filled ice bucket. The hotel also added a waterpark recent which means tons of kids running around. Not my preference, at least.”

“What a disappointment! We had an itinerary and was hoping to supplement the days activities with the pool and arcade-not worth the extra $30 cost. The hotel was difficult to find at the junction of Routes 1 and 95. There were small signs posted, but at night they were difficult to see and follow. Have you ever heard the phrase can't get there from here. Such is the case if you are Route 62. There are no signs. The room was dingy and dated/well used. When we called 3 times for added bed covers, each time service arrived with everything but blankets. We got a mattress cover, than a pillow and a sheet, then finally duvet covers, all we needed were extra blankets for the youngsters.”

“The room was large with a conference table and flat screen TV. The Fitness center was being renovated and reminded me of a gym in the basement. Renovations should be finished by the end of October according to the health club staff. Mostly families stayed here and went to the attached water park.”

“The hotel has a luxury feel and intimate atmosphere. It is very family friendly as it now has a water park adjacent. The staff is friendly and very willing to please. I appreciated the attentiveness of Tiffany and Judy on the concierge floor and the can do attitude of all of the employees that I encountered.”

“I thought that this hotel suited my needs well but was not a luxury accommodation. It was comfortable, quick to get to from the highway and the staff was friendly. On the flip side, the furniture in the rooms was really old and in disrepair and there was wallpaper pealing off the walls. Also the air conditioner was a noisy wall unit with no thermostat.”
