• Large room, Starbucks inside hotel, Water park attached.
• Hot water took ten to warm, Some renovation being done.

“Great for the price! Parking was free. New flat screen TV, although ours didn't work.”

• Close to north Shore Salem area and a good restaurant downstairs.
• Charges for internet in room, disappointing restaurant recommendation.

• Clean.
• No slip grips in the tub, mattress sunk deep when sat on.

“Hotel room needed work. Port crib mattress was missing - only the base pad that comes with a pack n play - not healthy for an infant to sleep on. Over all the hotel is nice, but sending small children and a mom to walk a mile of zig zag corridors is not endearing. Will we be back? Yes - it is a lovely hotel and has activities for children.”

• We have stayed at the Ferncroft in the past and have enjoyed the nice rooms & service.
• Gave us terrible room very little furniture, very old and mared.

“We have stayed over a dozen times at the Ferncroft and enjoyed all of our visits except this one. While most of the hotel has gone through a renovation, our room obviously has not. The furniture was mared, the room was poorly lit and it made you feel as if you were in the basement. The hotel was very busy so we will be willing to give them another chance because of our past good experiences.”

• Got a USA delivered to room every day and the staff was helpful.
• The charge of the internet service which was a charge of 9.99 a day.

“Nice hotel, clean and friendly, front desk was very helpful when I need to fax of some papers enjoyed our stay. Thank-you.”

• First room was dark, dingy, and beat up.

“We traveled to the Boston area from Ohio for a short vacation. We were allowed to check in about 2 hours early, which was helpful, but the first room we were given was on the ground floor of an "annex" and was pretty beat up, not to mention dark. For example, the mattress was literally folded such that the end where your feet go was elevated above the rest of the mattress. Also, the remote did not work with the TV appropriately, and it was missing the back battery cover. Had we not asked to be moved after the first night, we also would have been in a hallway full of carts and serving trays meant to cater the very loud prom that was being held at the hotel in a room just down the hall from our original room. Our request to move was honored immediately with apologies, which we appreciated. We were moved to the tower, and we loved the new room. It was much brighter and less beat up. The only complaint we had was that we could hear everything happening in the hallway, including another customer yelling at kids down the hall for being too loud later in the evening. When we had requests of the front desk, they were prompt in responding.”

• Running toilet, backed-up bathtub, smell of gas in hallway.

“Although the toilet was running in the first room, I was assigned the second room, was right next to the elevator. The third room had a backed-up bathtub and wet carpet, and the fourth room also had a running toilet, the beds are very comfortable, the decor is relaxing.”

• They have a star bucks coffee store in the lobby.
• The furnishings in my room were worn and needed replacement.

“I was disappointed with my room. The furnishings were old, worn and needed to be replaced. The bedding appeared old and very uninviting. The carpet had stains. The shower head in bathroom was very loose.”

• Lobby and common areas were very clean.
• Room was old and worn.

“Hotel was very nice it appeared that my room had yet to go through the renovation that the rest of the hotel had experienced. Sauna and Jacuzzi were out of service.”

• It has a water park.
• Bathroom was not clean & there was not even an alarm clock in the room.

“My room may have been in some state of rehab, as furnishings were sparse, there were blinds but no curtains (so the room was bright all night), and there was not even a clock in the room. The bathroom floor was dirty and the rug in the room needed vacuuming. Hotel should exceed the 2 star rating based on services, but must have been downgraded due to poor maintenance. This hotel was a big disappointment, and I would not have stayed a second night.”

“Good value however having to clean hair out of the tub was disgusting and no towels racks or mirror in the room was pretty inconvenient.”

• The bed was so nice I could have just taken it home with me!
• The waitress was awful and nasty rude and totally mean!

“Every thing was great except the wait service staff in the dinning area. The lady sitting people was very slow and there were several tables clear and ready.”

• The indoor water park.
• No continental breakfast.

“The Sheraton Fern croft Resort is a great hotel for families, couples and business travelers. There is a lovely indoor pool (which was under renovations when we stayed) and a huge indoor water park, gym and a game room complete with prizes for the whole family. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and we loved the cushy European style pillows. We would definitely stay there again in the future.”

“The hotel is attractive and the room was overall nice, but the bathroom was tiny! The location is good except for the constant U-turns one must take on busy route 1.”

• The staff was terrific, helpful with great attitude. The pool was wonderful and the lounge comfortable to end the day.
• They forgot to clean our room after our first night, the room smelled like smoke and there is no mirror in the room, room wi-fi charge.

“The hotel was lovely, and the staff wonderful. I loved the pool and the exercise room was well equipped. Great deal for our price and we'd be happy to come back.”
