“Staff was friendly but room didn't get cleaned 1 day and the hotel couldn't do anything because rooms were all full. Did provide us with clean towels and coffe but we had to make up the room ourselves.”

“I was pleased with the location of this hotel, as we were sightseeing in Salem as well as Boston. It was closely located to Salem, which is why we chose to stay there and then we went to a Red Sox game later on that night and it was very easy to get into Boston from the hotel.”

“The desk clerk was too busy with another hotel employee to be responsive to me. I wouldn't stay there again.”

“Nice hotel - I wondered if bedspreads were laundered daily. Glad to have the breakfast and pool.”

“I asked for a non-smoking room, but when I arrived at the hotel, they didn't have any so we were stuck with the smoking room. They did try to accommodate us with by installing an ozone machine to rid the room of smoke odors.”

“This hotel is located away from the strip, making it necessary to drive to restaurants, shopping etc. which can be tricky given the one way streets. But it is a quiet location, away from the noisy street, rooms are larger than most. Staff was friendly and helpful when we got lost and needed help. The rooms were larger than most and generally clean (found old soap in the bathroom ). We missed breakfast because it ends too early.”

“This hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. There were burns in the carpet and the bedding! The front desk staff couldn't figure out how to check me in.”

“I don't think the price fit the hotel. The staff was very nice, as was the continental breakfast. But the pool and the room was just so-so. The cleaning staff was great, though.”

“Two young brothers were manning the front desk the night of our stay and were unable to give directions to help us find the hotel, hung up on us and were laughing when we called back. They told us to go on a long circuitous route when we were about a block away when we first called. We eventually asked another motorist where the hotel was and found it that way. The hotel did not appear very clean - unknown hairs in bed and bathroom. College students standing in the halls talking loudly on cell phones. Brown water came out of the faucets when first turned on! Paper thin walls - We could hear every word of the conversations of guest on both sides. Woke up early by talking in adjoining rooms, I thought someone was actually in our room at first. We left without sampling the complimentary breakfast as the facilities did not appear very clean and the water was not clean.”

“It suits me perfectly--gets me beyond Route 128 on my way back home to Maine, so when I get up in the morning, there is no rush hour going in my direction. The breakfast was do it yourself and terrific; best of all, the beds were comfortable, there was cable for the computer and it was quiet.”

“If you have a GPS (or good navigation skills) this off-the-beaten-path hotel is a great place to stay-especially with its recent remodel/update. It also has a fairly decent breakfast, including DIY waffles.”

“The place was okay but the pool and exercise area were closed due to renovations. It has okay access but we've stayed at easier to access places in the area.”

“Arrived at the hotel and was told my room was changed from a king size bed to a queen size bed in a handicap room. No explanation was given for the change. The handicap shower drain in my room was defective causing water to flood the entire bathroom. The room was recently painted and the paint fumes still remained when I arrived. The sliding glass door was sealed preventing me from removing the fumes. Both the pool and exercise room were closed. Water was shut off during the day (10 AM to 5 PM) for my entire stay.”

“This is a decent hotel if you find yourself stuck in Danvers, MA. All of the rooms have just been renovated and for a Comfort Inn, it is comfortable and clean. They did switch to a non-smoking upon arrival, but if they had been booked full, you would get stuck in a smoking room.”
