• It was convenient and close to everything. Lots of malls and restaurant and sights.
• The hotel entrance is a little awkward. Have to be ready to make a very quick left turn or you miss entrance.

• Smelly and nasty.

“This hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. There were burns in the carpet and the bedding! The front desk staff couldn't figure out how to check me in.”

• It was clean, very convenient and very quiet.
• Chipped bath tub (minor).

“It suits me perfectly--gets me beyond Route 128 on my way back home to Maine, so when I get up in the morning, there is no rush hour going in my direction. The breakfast was do it yourself and terrific; best of all, the beds were comfortable, there was cable for the computer and it was quiet.”

• It has recently been remodeled and our room had a fridge/microwave.
• Less than adequate workout equipment (e.g., outdated and limited aerobic equipment).

“If you have a GPS (or good navigation skills) this off-the-beaten-path hotel is a great place to stay-especially with its recent remodel/update. It also has a fairly decent breakfast, including DIY waffles.”

• No microwave in room, but that's not too bad, just a comment.

• Did not accommodate bed type request. Almost had to accept smoking room.

• Was being renovated so it was clean.
• The exercise was closed and the beds were not very comfortable.

“The place was okay but the pool and exercise area were closed due to renovations. It has okay access but we've stayed at easier to access places in the area.”

• No pool, No exercise room. No running water during the day.

“Arrived at the hotel and was told my room was changed from a king size bed to a queen size bed in a handicap room. No explanation was given for the change. The handicap shower drain in my room was defective causing water to flood the entire bathroom. The room was recently painted and the paint fumes still remained when I arrived. The sliding glass door was sealed preventing me from removing the fumes. Both the pool and exercise room were closed. Water was shut off during the day (10 AM to 5 PM) for my entire stay.”

• Newly renovated rooms were clean and comfortable.

“This is a decent hotel if you find yourself stuck in Danvers, MA. All of the rooms have just been renovated and for a Comfort Inn, it is comfortable and clean. They did switch to a non-smoking upon arrival, but if they had been booked full, you would get stuck in a smoking room.”

• Bathroom facility seemed brand new!
• Water ran brown in bathroom sink for about 4 minutes!

“My stay was short; however, other than the bathroom sink faucet running brown water for awhile, it was nice! Didn't get to eat any breakfast because I had a skating competition at 5:30am, so we missed breakfast.”

• I like that I do not have to stay there again due to its poor condition.
• It was filthy.

“The hotel experience was perhaps the worst I have had. If a hotel is under construction as this one was, it should close down and complete the job. It is not respectful to its patrons to ask them to stay in the facility in the condition that this hotel was.”

• Newly renovated room.
• Elevators being renovated - 3 flights of stairs.

“Major renovation in progress - appeared to be workers everywhere, but renovation had begun a year ago when we stayed there, don't know what caused delay. Elevators not in service due to renovation, 3 flights to our floor.”

“I have a handy cap and having to use the stairs was hard for me. I can not rate this hotel high it has been a good hotel in the past.”

• Renovations in progress. The rooms are bigger, more comfortable.
• In the middle of construction zone, but they did a good job of keeping guests on floors separated from noise.

“Things were surprisingly good. Called before arrival and asked clerk if he would be kind enough to reserve me the room he would have his mother stay in if she came to the hotel. He obviously loves his mother. Nice quiet and comfortable room, recently renovated and very clean.”

• Desk people were helpful. Room was clean.
• Kids in business center using internet (about 10 at once).

“This hotel is conveniently off the highway. The front desk people were extremely responsive and friendly. Although the hotel was undergoing construction, other than a trash bin way off to the side of the front door, there was no other evidence/noise. The room was clean, very basic, but certainly met my needs. The continental breakfast was fine, the waffle maker being the biggest hit.”

• Terrific "continental" breakfast which offered the usual, plus waffles, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit.
• Could hear people in next room.

• Friendly staff and a nice breakfast.
• Dirty room/bathroom.

“The hotel is convenient to route 1 and not to far from restaurants and shopping. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was dirty and worn. One of the lamps was missing a light bulb. There was some mysterious substance/stain on the night stand. The bathroom was dirty, with hair from previous occupants on the sink, shower and toilet. The "hot" water in the shower is best described as "warm".”

“The hotel was under construction at the time of my stay. We I arrived at my floor many guests were roaming from room to room. It reminded me of a dorm. The place was ok for the price. Its a comfortable room.”
