“The hotel was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Right on MIT's campus. We drove over to Boston University - it took only 5-10 minutes. The location is very convenient - especially for visiting the local colleges. I just wish there was a pool or hot tub in the hotel.”

“Le Meridian is almost within MIT, a 25 minute walk from Harvard Square and 15 minutes to bridge over Charles River to Boston. It's the only hotel in mixed area which includes Salvation Army store. Next door is a Star supermarket and parking garage, $22 overnight, & Budget Car Rental. Attached restaurant is very pleasant, has sidewalk cafe. Breakfast buffet. We had Eggs Benedict, coffee & fresh orange juice, $18.85 each. Very clean, friendly, comfortable desk, easy chair & good reading lights in room, crisp cotton sheets. News papers at front desk. Paid extra for internet connection, $9.95. Would go back.”

“Luxurious, clean and comfortable on the Mitt Campus. Cute math, physics theme with atom design in the elevator, robots in the lobby and blankets with math formulas written on them! The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us navigate the streets of Boston and Cambridge. The restaurant is to be avoided because it is too expensive for the very ordinary food that they serve and Boston is filled with wonderful, unique restaurants that are not so pricey!”

“Our room was across from the housekeeping supplies and very early we would wake up to the voices of the housekeeping staff. We had stayed at this hotel maybe 6 years ago and they have not made any improvements or renovations since then. Our clock was set wrong and when we could not adjust it we called the desk and they indicated it would take an engineer to correct it. So when our TV remote did not work we did not bother to call. It would help if they had microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. Rooms are very small. The hotel staff made it difficult to even cash a check despite them having our credit card information. We often stay at the Marriot Cambridge, which is rated fewer stars but in our view is a more impressive hotel then this Le Meridian Hotel.”

“It was very nice. We didn't really like the location; there were a lot of drunks on the walk from the T to the hotel, which being from a small town made me uncomfortable. I was a little disappointed we didn't have a robe in our room as promised, but we survived. However, the hotel itself suited our needs just fine. The pillows were fantastic; I want to get some just like it for my home. The staff was also super friendly and nice.”

“I had a great time there, and would definitely go back. I wouldn't use the Valet though, because they seemed to be extremely disorganized and not friendly. They were also totally separate from the Hotel, which created more confusion when settling the bill.”

“The hotel has just recently been taken over by Le Meridian. I was expecting a higher caliber property based on the name. I assume over time they will be updating the property. It was a little tired.”

“This is my new favorite Boston area hotel! It's in a great location for my needs, room service is tasty and not overpriced, and I loved the decor. The best part for me is that you can extend your check out time by the hour up until 4 pm!”

“This hotel was very nice. I would recommend it to a friend. It is only a couple of blocks away from a T-stop, so it was very accessible from every part of Boston. The staff was very helpful. They gave me recommendations on restaurants and directions to places I needed to go.”

“This hotel is well located, close to restaurants and the T. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant but other than that the hotel is a comfortable place to rest after spending the day in Cambridge. As a side note to business travelers: you must pay extra for internet service.”

“Meridian took over management from Doubletree, but does not seem to have changed much except the rates (higher): even the televisions, the bedspreads, the pictures on the walls, the carpeting, and the furniture were all the same. I liked the Aveeno toiletries that Doubletree used, more than the new ones.”

“The hotel, the staff, the food and the rooms are fantastic! The rooms have mini fridges in them that are not stocked so you can put your own food in. It is attached to a Shaw's Grocery store so you can choose either the hotel or your own food. But their room service seemed much cheaper than a 3 star hotel and the food and Service was great! Will definitely stay here again.”

“All the finishes were very nice, but it was impossible to escape the MIT feel of the whole place. I am not particularly mathematically inclined so being swathed in quantum physic equation was a little creepy. The waiter attempted to pocket a $29 tip on a $50 bill, but not even my math skills are bad enough to think that is appropriate. Oh, and there is no pool onsite.”
