  • $35 to park overnight - $12,95 day for Wifi.

“Great hotel, but be ready to pay another $50/day if you have a car to park and want in room internet!”

  • Large rooms, decent location, and was plenty of garage parking.
  • Inefficient check-in/check-out process, rooms in serious need of repair, and the hotel space was unimpressive.

“I was very surprised that this was a Hyatt! I have stayed at many before and was seriously unimpressed. Staff was inefficient, had issues with check-in and had no idea how to handle the issues. The room was more motel like, in serious need of repair in so many areas. The shower appeared to be dirty, the door handle on the closet door was broken and there was no bottom sheet on the bed! Very unimpressed.”

  • Location.
  • Older.

“From some prior reviews, I expected problems with this hotel but found it perfectly fine, especially for the price I got it at through Priceline. It was a little rundown and older but clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint is the cost of the breakfasts offered.”

  • The price, got a great deal on Priceline, and bedding was very comfortable.
  • If you are going to MIT, great, otherwise, terrible location.

“Overall, the hotel is fine, and bathrooms a little dated. Location is terrible, can't walk to any shopping but they do have a shuttle and the driver is very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately you have to take a taxi back if you don't have a car. But I got a great deal on Priceline so the 10 dollars for a cab at night still made it a good deal. Overall it was fine.”

  • Great view of Downtown Boston.
  • Room seemed like it may need an updating.

“Great view of the city of Boston. Close to Downtown and half a mile from a T-stop at BU Central (Green Line) or at Kendall/MIT University Stop (Red Line). Very nice workout facility. Rooms were nice, but could use a slight upgrading/ updating, as compared to some of the other Hyatt's I have stated at. Food in the restaurant was very good.”

  • The view of Boston.
  • A mile away from stores.

“Great hotel, service was good and hotel in good condition, the only down point if you like to walk the nearest shops are overall mile away.”

  • Location.
  • They charge for internet access & soaps/shampoo smell like my grandmother.

“Can use a renovation needs more electrical outlets in room so
I can plug in and recharge.”

  • Views out onto the Charles river were great.
  • Very inconvenient location. No transportation.

“The hotel itself was great. But, with that said, the location is terrible unless you have a car. There is no way to use public transportation (which is one reason Boston is a great city) unless you walk between 15 and 25 minutes. Not bad on a nice day, but rain or wind or snow. No thanks. Front desk staff was very nice. House-cleaning-left quite a bit to be desired.”

“For a Hyatt Regency I was disappointed by the smallness of the rooms and the unluxuriousness of the bathroom.”

  • We enjoyed the pool.
  • There was no bathtub in our room for our kids, the staff was NOT helpful at all and there were no restaurants or really anything within walking distance.

“We did not enjoy the Hyatt in Cambridge. It was not in a good location, we could not find anywhere to eat close by, there was no bathtub in our room and we had small children traveling with us. Internet cost money and the staff was not helpful or friendly.”

  • Endless hot water and nice to include toothpaste as a toiletry in the room for those that fly in (TSA).
  • Pricey for lesser quality. No fast food options nearby to run for a snack at breaks.

“Conference hotel. Yes, the carpets were miserable as others have said. Hotel has only one over-priced restaurants and very few options in the immediate area unless you use the free shuttle to hit the tourist areas. Likely getting kickbacks from taxi services as there is no airport shuttle but always a line of taxis. Meeting rooms were small, poor audio, used old equipment for AV. Meals were over-priced and highly surcharged if room service. Four days there and only had one good server. I found the staff cold and minimally courteous, but was told by several that the Boston area in general, does nothing for you without expecting a tip. I should have tipped the housekeeper so she would have cleaned the trash and mildew with dirt behind the desk and coffee service in my room. Very much agreed that the property is outdated and needs renovation, even in the commons.”

  • The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
  • The internet service was not free.

“The hotel was older but in great condition. The HVAC system could have been quieter.”

  • Many spiders were found in room.

“Many spiders were found in room. Too expensive parking fee.”

  • The hotel was beautiful!
  • No free breakfast.

“The lobby was beautiful! Loved the glass elevators and interior balconies. It was close to where we wanted to be, Harvard Square.”

  • Nice location along Charles River. Easy access from Mass Turnpike. Close to MIT, Cambridge.
  • Rooms need to be updated. Towels only changed if you call front desk, had towels replaced but were given no wash clothes. $35 parking.

“Nice hotel for Priceline price. Rooms really need updated. Stains on carpet, peeling paint on window. Not your typical 3.5 * room. The lobby was very nice and front desk service was good. Parking is overpriced $10 - $15 would be acceptable not $35. Pool was nice. I would stay here again, but only through Priceline.”

  • Location and proximity to all Boston activities.

“My room was missing, tissues, toiletries and needed paint. The hotel is in a great location - but needs to receive some TLC.”

  • Price and shuttle. Bed very comfortable.
  • Carpets were very stained.

“The room was very comfortable and staff were helpful. Carpets need to be replaced desperately.”

  • The views of Boston and the Charles from our room were amazing.
  • The fire alarm that woke us up at 4:30 am.

“I would highly recommend this hotel for those traveling on business, it is convenient to both Boston and Cambridge by cab and is a quiet and comfortable place to get work done. For those looking to explore the city or a weekend getaway, you might want to look elsewhere as there is not much to do in walking distance and while the room was comfortable, it did seem very geared towards the business traveler.”

  • Convenient to Boston University
  • Parking was very expensive ($35) for self park.

“I have stayed here before while visiting Boston University and appreciate the convenience. Although I've come to expect to pay for parking in Boston I find $35 for self park to be pricey. The staff was very helpful and pleasant at the front desk and in the restaurant. Food was good, hotel - pricey.”
