“The hotel is in a great location - right in Harvard Square, close to shopping, dining and the university. A short walk o public transit and only a 10 minute Subway ride to downtown Boston. The hotel itself is mediocre. The rooms were small and the hallways of the hotel are drab, resembling a dorm. Most of the staff we encountered were very unfriendly.”

“Although the rooms are on the small side with few added amenities, they were definitely clean, quiet, and very serviceable. Undoubtedly the best thing this hotel has to offer is its truly superb location, on Harvard Square within one or two blocks of great dining and the wonderful Boston Subway system. Although the $35 daily parking fee was an unpleasant surprise, even with that the location of this hotel makes it a great value. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The most attractive aspect of this hotel is the location, one minute away from the Subway station, which makes very convenient to travel around the city. The neighborhood is terrific, Harvard and MIT are in the walk distance, and many great restaurants and grocery stores. However, I have to say my experience with the hotel service is not what I expected with respect to the money I paid for. The lobby is extremely small, one of the front desk staff is very unfriendly. The hotel didn't replace used soap and shampoo, which however is still within the limit that I can tolerate. The most ridiculous thing is this hotel didn't provide tooth brush and tooth paste, and I was told this is the hotel's policy. Maybe I am wrong if this is the policy applied to all other hotels in Boston. Overall, Boston is great and this hotel is not what I expected and should not be put in the 3-star category.”

“Comfortable no-frills hotel in prime Cambridge location. Friendly and accommodating staff. Basic rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. In-room refrigerators handy for extended stays.”

“Location at Cambridge, especially Harvard is great. One block from the Charles hotel and 2 blocks from the metro (t. Station).the bath tub was old and the water tube line broke once. Nice TV and refrigerator.”

“All in all not a bad hotel. Was not given the queen sized bed I had requested, got two doubles. Upon check out noticed they had charged me twice for the internet connection. And had to spend time getting that fixed.”

“Hotel would be great, but for the price, it should offer more amenities.”

“They kept trying me to switch to the inn at Harvard even though it was late at night. I probably should have. The rooms were tiny (like NYC tiny), parking is scarce (which is why they wanted me to move because I brought a car and they were clearly trying to convince all drivers to move), the toilet would only flush properly every 20 minutes, the furniture was old. There wasn't even HBO (though full cable).”

“The hotel was fine. So when I arrived late at night, we had to spend about an hour trying to figure out how to change the reservation.”

“The room was tiny and didn't have very many television channels but it did have a refrigerator.”

“The only problem I had is that I got an additional charge that I am disputing with the hotel and my card company.”
