• Location.
• Price was too high for accommodations. Food was cold. Shower not warm; cold or hot.

• Terrific location right off rte. 128 - leaves the car and walk to subway station next door.
• Hotel is old; rooms are on the small side.

“Great spot for the money. Staff were very accommodating - gave us an extra cot at no charge. We love the location right next to a subway stop - avoids city parking expenses and congestion but we can get into the city easily. Heat in our room was excessive and couldn't be controlled - we had to rely on the window to cool down. Small details not great - some noise from nearby elevator, funky control in shower, TV remote not working etc, but it's safe, comfortable, convenient, and inexpensive.”

“Not much to say about it, old tired holiday inn near route 95/128 and Waltham, where my office is located. Price was right for what it was.”

• 2nd room we received was nice
• 1st room had broken toilet, phone and lights

“Desk clerk did not want to change a double bed room with broken phone and 2 lights broken. Said he would try next day. Toilet was broken also (found out 5 minutes later) and then he gave me the room he said I could have the next day. This room was nice. Hotel was clean and king size bed rooms were nice.”

• Convenience to the "T" Green Line into Boston.
• Beds were wobbly, wallpaper peeling, interior borderline shabby.

“A disappointment in a number of ways. The bed was wobbly, there was wallpaper peeling, the overall interiors looked JUST the o.k.-side of seedy, it wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as the Radisson we stayed in in New London, and nowhere near as good as the Courtyard by Marriot in Burlington, VT.”

• Great location.
• Internet access code is provided on a request basis, and the clerks were slow to respond. And later, the Internet was not working properly.

“This is great hotel given the price and the location. Food is good. But if you are desperate to communicate with the world through broadband, this one is not recommended. We will revisit the hotel for next family tour to Boston.”

• Free internet; close to Green Line T.
• Run down; noisy; no amenities.

“This hotel is conveniently located within an easy walk of the Green Line T and immediately off I95. There is nothing else (restaurants, shops, etc) anywhere nearby. Hotel has seen better days; outdoor pool has limited hours; noisy, especially the toilets. Small bar area inside the restaurant. Not up to the usual Holiday Inn standards.”

“I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Rooms were big, bathrooms well equipped with thick soft towels. We enjoyed the daily USA TODAY news paper. It was very quiet during evening and night hours. The restaurant had great food. We shall go there again.”

“We were cordially welcomed by reception staff, but we were not made aware what kind of services were available, I. e. breakfast,... It is not our first time to use Holiday Inn and assure you we will continue to use it for the coming years. Thanks for the hospitality.”

• Was convenient to the highway.
• Room was very small, bathroom dirty, dishes dirty.

“Overall, it was just okay. I just hope that the hotels don't give people a lousy room just because they get a good deal on the rate.”

• Hotel is near exit ramp; room adequate size.
• This is LITERALLY a college dormitory (see review).

“I was shocked to discover that more than 20 college students permanently live here. The hotel has LITERALLY turned its first floor into a college dormitory, offering residence to students who are unable to find housing at a Boston art school. There is loud music on the hallway, students frequently moving from room to room, and the lobby and exercise room are often filled with undergraduates. This, coupled with the hotel's decision to sell parking to Red Sox fans on game days (the hotel is located next to the commuter rail, and the parking lot is over sold on the days of Red Sox games).”

• Hotel was where advertised.
• Telephone not connected; wiring bad; smelly room; ice machines broken.

“This hotel should be avoided at all costs. Telephone wiring boxes were disconnected (no calls, no wake-up calls -- ok if you have cell phone); room clock was broken; wiring was broken; wireless Internet VERY slow and wired Internet was disconnected; ice machines were broken; no vending machines for soft drinks; staff did not know the area. Otherwise fine.”

“This hotel was very outdated and old. The hallways were smelly and the rooms were small and dirty. Personnel was not very pleasant. This hotel SHOULD NOT be classified under the 2 1/2 star hotel category.”

• Decent rooms, free parking..
• Right on I-95 so noisy, not near anything, lots of hall noise.

“I'm glad I just stay done night. The room was OK, but noise from the interstate and hallway was disruptive. The hotel is tired, and needs attention. It is not located near any shops, restaurants, anything, so you almost have to eat into he basic restaurant. And the fitness center is 3 cardio machines in a cramped room. Very, very basic.”

• They included free hot buffet breakfast for my wife and I, and of course kids eat free.
• It was a no smoking room. However, the bathroom smelt particularly smoky. One assumes from the floor below.

“Great location just off of route 128 (I95). Commuter rail station is only 300 feet from hotel so very easy to get into Boston and onto the rest of the "T" subway system. Good value for money.”
