“Excellent location close to the riverside plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Nice white duvet covers on quilt; clean neat appearance comfortable room temperature on arrival and throughout the night without any noise factor.”

“Hotel was recently renovated. Clean, and in the main nicely decorated. Access was easy, service in the restaurant was good. Views over a lake were very nice.”

“The area where our room was basement level. An ice skating camp was there and were loud and invasive. Chaperones were worse than the girls. No shampoo, soap etc. Outside door did not open with room key, making very inconvenient. Hot tub was filthy. Coffee condiments brought upon request room change request denied. No sleep. Internet was $10 per day. This was not a typical Marriott experience, disappointing.”

“This is a beautiful hotel. There was actually hair on the shower floor and it looked grimy. The beds were too soft. Because of the shower primarily, it kind of colored everything else.”

“Our room was clean. Beds very comfortable. Room had a great view of the river and you can sit on the balcony and watch Kayaks. Hotel is 2-3 minutes from major interstate. Nice indoor pool area.”

“Shortly after settling into my room late night I noticed several very small flies crossing my television viewing angle. I really did not want to have someone spray the room and I really did not want to gather my belongings and with some discussion at the front desk change rooms. So this frequent camper just went to sleep. Not what I would expect from Marriott. I did mention the flies to the front desk and I will note that the clerk did say I am sorry about that.”

“Overall great experience. Friendly front desk staff. Nicely furnished room. Great room service, quick and tasty. The only unpleasant surprise of stay was the alarm clock blaring early in the morning. It should have been shut off by housekeeping before my arrival.”

“Beautiful setting on the Charles River. Almost unbelievably natural setting. Swans, ducks, geese, rowers going by. Although seemingly surrounded by highway it was quiet and all you saw out the back was beautiful scenery. Right off 90 and 95. You cannot beat this place for the price especially being 20 minutes from Bean Town. Will go back for sure. Many room options including river side patio, more $ but worth it.”

“The Marriott was very nice and clean. However, there were a few things we were unhappy about. First, we ended up with two full size beds. I am 7 months pregnant and my husband and I had to sleep in separate beds. Also, I am allergic to down. It would have been nice to know this hotel uses down mattress pads, comforters and pillows. We asked that the bed be changed. A staff member came down with 2 sheets and a thin blanket; we had to remake the bed ourselves. He did not even bring a mattress pad.”

“It is a good hotel at a nice location with excellent facilities, especially the gym and indoor swimming pool. The rooms are nice and convenient but would need some refreshment of the furniture and carpets. The sound insulation from other rooms and the hallway is not good enough.”

“The Marriot Newton-Boston must have been a most prestigious hotel at one time, but in my two times staying with this establishment I've found the rooms old and worn, beds not updated, walls and doors are thin and can be heard through, air system difficult to get right temp, TV's smaller and no free internet.”

“I felt welcome the moment I stepped up to the front door-being greeted by the doorman. I was treated warmly by the front desk, and I felt like I was at home when I laid my head on the very soft pillows and slept on the very comfortable bed. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.”
